FORGIVENESS

"How have you been?"

"I've been good Gukkie-ah," Yoongi  swallowed thickly, he'd missed the young boy a lot. The bratty kid from five years ago was a full grown young man now, the only thing that remained the same were  his round, doe-like eyes and his two slightly large front teeth. Other than that, everything had changed, his voice, his frame and his stature.

"Why?" Jungkook asked, his voice soft, almost like a whisper, "Why didn't you contact us? Not me, not even Joon? Why hyung?"

"I-I wanted to start anew," Yoongi slouched his shoulders, unshed tears of embarrassment were starting to burn his eyes, "I had to work very hard to move on and support the girls, I eventually busied myself with work and lost track of time with everyone," he explained, he hoped that the boy (to him, he was still the same bratty kid he remembered)would understand why he did what he did, "I met up with Joon several days ago, he told me you would probably not want to see me."

"To be honest, if you weren't my hyung, I'd want to punch you square on the nose," Jungkook said honestly, "I'm just upset with the way you handled things hyung."

Yoongi  looked to another table where Jimin was speaking with Taehyung on the other side of the cafe, he was thankful to them for giving him privacy to talk with Jungkook. He lifted the drink placed in front of his hands, and took a small sip of the iced americano, he could feel his dongseang's gaze fixed on him.

"You knew that me and Joon would have helped you with anything, even Jimin ," Jungkook pointed towards the pink haired dancer who was giggling at something his friend was saying, "Even he would have helped, hyung, you didn't have to leave."

"I know, I know I didn't... But I still did, and there's nothing I can do about it. It was a decision I made, I just hope you understand, I wish we could go back to how we were, you were one of my closest friends, almost like a little brother, and-"

"It's fine hyung, we can still be friends. You are like a big brother to me, whatever Namjoon hyung told you about me, don't believe him. I'm not mad at you anymore, I'm glad you came back," he smiled.

"Thank you, Jungkookie," he replied, his heart feeling a lot lighter than it did before.

"Did you and Jimin  hyung-" he stopped mid-sentence, clearing his throat and looking around to see if there was anyone close enough to hear him, "Are you on good terms with him?"

Yoongi  closed his eyes, and sighed, "Are you going to tell me the same thing Namjoon said?"

"Depends on what he said," Jungkook grinned.

"He said to leave him alone," Jungkook gasped, and slammed his fist on the table, "That bastard!"

Jimin and Taehyung looked up to see who was causing a commotion, then Jungkook lifted a hand and waved him off with a grin.

"What else did he tell you?"

"Ah, besides that and that you wouldn't want to see me... Mhmm, he told me what happened with Hoseok and Taehyung, how he cheated on him with you and then started dating Jimin ," Yoongi  bit his lip, "he said that Jimin was in an accident and lost his memory, it seems like he doesn't know me."

"That's complete bullshit hyung!" Jungkook shouted, yet again earning a glare and a shush from Taehyung.

"Okay, Hoseok was being a total ass to Tae because he was hanging out with me, so then he broke up with him. Hoseok believed it was because he was cheating on him, and hyung, I swear we didn't even have that kind of relationship then," he whined, "Anyways, he told everyone that he cheated on him, Jimin  was mad with Taehyung because, well you know why, and then he wanted to comfort Hobi hyung, I guess they liked each other after that? I don't know, to be honest, sometimes I think he only did it to piss of Taehyung by dating his best friend and stealing his friends, because as you may already know, Jin and Namjoon hyung sided with him and stopped talking to us." He sighed, "And then, Jimin  wanted to hear the full story so he met up with Tae one day and talked things out with him, and you know, Jimin isn't stupid. He believed Taehyung after all, but he was already in too deep with Hoseok and just chose to let it go," Yoongi nodded his head as he took in everything that his friend was telling him.
