Chapter 16

Jongin unlocked his phone, unconsciously smiling down at his wallpaper as he replied to the text message. "Hey, you going early today?" Luhan asked as he placed his belongings on the ground next to Jongin. "Maybe" Jongin dismissively responded. Luhan looked over at Jongin's phone as he closed the messenger app. "Awh, that's a cute photo. Is it from Friday?" He asked and Jongin looked up. 

"Uh yeah, it is. Oh, right yeah, my parents aren't home but mum said your parents called in the morning. They had to go on an emergency business trip so you're staying at mine for a few days" Jongin remembered as his phone chimed again.

Luhan rolled his eyes, already being used to his parents' ignorant behaviour. "Alright" Luhan's mood was clearly off now as he sighed. Jongin noticed but didn't know what to say. Jongin put his phone down, about to say something but didn't get the chance to when some of their other friends arrived.

Kyungsoo came and sat beside Jongin as Sehun sat beside Luhan. Chanyeol and Baekhyun were in their own world. "Hey Lu" Sehun lightly nudged him but there was no response from Luhan. He turned to the younger male and just weakly smiled, trying not to make his mood obvious. But he failed because Sehun noticed. 

"What's wrong baby?" He asked concern laced in his voice as his eyebrows furrowed. Luhan shook his head, "Nothing" he responded. "Are you sure?" Sehun asked and Luhan sighed. He didn't like hiding things from Sehun. Luhan stayed quite, looking down as he fiddled with his fingers.

Sehun gently pulled the lightweight male onto his lap and wrapped his arms around his waist, resting his chin on Luhan's shoulder. "It's alright, tell me when you're ready" Sehun whispered and Luhan smiled, glad that Sehun is understanding. Just being with Sehun made Luhan's upset and angry emotions fade away bit by bit.

Sehun sighed, blowing a puff of air out. Luhan giggled as the warm air hit his neck. Sehun then, on purpose, blew more out, tickling the shorter male. Luhan laughed again, instinctively lifting his shoulder upwards.

"Hunnie, stop! It tickles" but despite hearing this, Sehun continued tickling the older, only this time attacking his sides. Luhan tried to squirm out of his grip but was failing due to the lack of strength. Sehun eventually stopped when he lost his balance and fell backwards, head landing on the grass. Although he did manage to drag Luhan down with him, there was still a smile tugged at the corners of his lips. They laid there, without a word, on the grass until Sehun flipped them over so that now he was on top. He leaned downwards and took Luhan into a kiss.

"Ew! Guys get a room" Jongin scrunched his nose at the two but was secretly glad Luhan found someone that cared for him, although he still didn't want to see the two make out right in front of them. How quickly Luhan's mood changed with Sehun amazed Jongin. The two ignored Jongin and continued lip locking. Jongin looked at Kyungsoo with the same expression and Kyungsoo just laughed. Chanyeol and Baekhyun on the other hand just shrugged the two off.

Jongin gathered courage and turned to Kyungsoo. "I have an early leave, do you want to hang out at my house?" He asked, knowing Kyungsoo also has an early leave. "Sure" Kyungsoo shrugged before getting up.

"I'll meet you up at the front, I need to go to my locker first" he explained before walking off. But before Jongin could leave, a voice stopped him. "Are you finally gonna ask him?" All four pairs of eyes were on him now. "Ask what-? No. You guys are ridiculous" Jongin commented as he stood up as well. 

"Just a word of advice, you should before it gets a bit too late...like last time" Chanyeol commented. Jongin sighed as he faintly nodded before walking off.

While walking to his locker, Kyungsoo's phone rang. "Hey, what's up, Minnie?" He asked. "Hey, nothing much really. How's everything going?"  Xiumin asked from the other line. "Fine, I guess" Kyungsoo sighed but in reality, there was something on his mind.
