Chapter 21

Graduation day came around and their whole grade buzzed with excitement. Jongin didn't want Kyungsoo to leave but he had something planned. The only thing left was Kyungsoo's parents' consent.

They're all dresses in their graduation gown, waiting for their ceremony to begin. Luhan walked up to their group of friends, a phone recording everything they're doing. 

"Hey, guys say something to the camera" he took all 6 of them in one shot. They all just smiled at the camera, saying whatever came to their head at the moment. The moment was captured through a few photos that they also took before the ceremony began.

All students began to go back into their alphabetical ordered positions as the principal walked up on stage, welcoming families and students. He gave a small speech before students were individually called up for awards and graduation certificates.

The ceremony dragged on and Kyungsoo was excited to see his family once it ended. The final award was now being presented, the Valedictorian. 

"This year around, the school had decided to keep the Valedictorian award a surprise. So, the following student receiving this award is not aware but will be giving a speech" The principal said into the microphone. 

"A round of applause for the Valedictorian of this year; Lu Han" the students cheered. Luhan, the male himself, was shocked. He hesitantly went on stage and took the award. His on the spot speech was brief and mainly about his friends, family's and boyfriend's support along with good memories.

Each homeroom teacher gave a small speech which made majority of students tear up. As the time began to come, Jongin broke the alphabetical order and soon found himself next to Kyungsoo, firmly intertwining their fingers together. Kyungsoo looked over, an eye smile covering his face, glad that this is finally happening.

"And finally, congratulations to the graduating grade of 2012" as soon as the words were said, every student threw their graduation hat into the air, littering the sky. A picture was snapped just in time to capture the moment. Kyungsoo squeezed onto Jongin's hand, happy as everyone cheered and jumped around. Students hugged each other as the moment passed.

Everyone began to disburse and go to their families. Their friends regrouped and cheered along with congratulating each other. 

"Hyung" a very familiar voice yelled and Kyungsoo turned around, faced with his younger brother running at him. Kyungsoo opened his arms and hugged him. 

"Hyung I've missed you so much" his 7-year-old brother burst out into tears. 

"Hyung's missed you too. Shh, don't cry" Kyungsoo pulled away and wiped his brother's tears away.

He saw his and Baekhyun's parents trail behind, waving at the two. Once his younger brother, Yoonguk, stopped crying, he went to his parents. He hugged his mum then dad, finally happy to see them. Baekhyun did the same as their friends made their way to their families. Kyungsoo and Baekhyun hugged each other's parents as well as a sign of greeting.

They were both congratulated and the parents forced the two to take pictures as memories. The two families talked, glad to finally be reunited with their sons. Soon, Baekhyun took his parents away to meet Chanyeol and his parents.

"So, where's this boyfriend of yours?" Kyungsoo's mum asked in a teasing manner.

"Mum~" Kyungsoo whined. He turned to his dad to ask for help who just held his hands up in defence then laughed, ruffling his son's hair. Kyungsoo turned around, spotting Jongin and his parents actually walking over. 

"They're coming over right now, please don't embarrass me" Kyungsoo pleaded but she only laughed.

They stopped, the parents automatically greeting each other. "Mum, dad, this is Ni-Jongin" Kyungsoo corrected himself, introducing his boyfriend. He bowed, greeting them.
