Chapter 2

The next couple of days passed by swiftly until Tuesday lunch when Chanyeol gathered enough courage to talk to Baekhyun. Nervously, he slowly got up. "Guys I'm going to do it" Chanyeol nervously said as his heart picked up its pace. "Woo go Channie!" Luhan cheered on, knowing exactly what he was talking about. "You get him bro, trust us he'll say yes" Jongin sent a warm smile towards Chanyeol as he patted his back.

He nervously signed and walked toward the locker area where he was sure Baekhyun would be, hopefully alone. Most of the hallways were empty. To his luck, Baekhyun stood at his locker alone. Signing nervously, he walked towards the boy in head to toe black just like his best friend.

"H-hi" Chanyeol let out then mentally cussed for stuttering. At the sound of the voice, Baekhyun's heart started to speed up but he maintained his straight face as he turned around. "Hi?" He responded more like a question. From a far, Kyungsoo saw the two talking and smirked as he turned to Sehun who was also curiously watching.

"I know you probably don't even know me an-" Chanyeol was cut off by Baekhyun. "What do you want?" He straightforwardly asked. Chanyeol scratched the back of his neck and looked down for a minute, thinking if he should ask him or not. He suddenly smiled and confidently looked at up at Baekhyun. "I wanted to ask if you wanted to go out with me, as in a date?" The sudden burst of confidence scared Chanyeol but he was glad he said it.

Baekhyun on the other hand did not expect that to come out of his 3 years old crush's mouth. His heart picked up its pace as he heard the words leave Chanyeol's mouth. His eyes widened and he held eye contact with Chanyeol. No words were forming as a response. All his mind could think of was jibberish. After a few seconds of processing, he let a small smile which was the first crack of emotions he'd shown towards Chanyeol in front of the male. "Yes, I'd like to" His smile didn't leave his face as Chanyeol's system when into overdrive. He couldn't believe what just happened. "What? R-really?" Chanyeol asked, eyes wider than saucepans. Baekhyun nodded.

"Ok...damn I did not expect you to agree" he said as he let out a sigh."And I didn't expect you to ask" Baekhyun said back. They both exchanged numbers and decided to go out on that Saturday. Chanyeol dumbstruckly walked back towards the lunch area where his friends were waiting for him to come back.

"So~?" Luhan asked as he was the first to notice the taller come back. "What happened?" Jongin asked nervously and excited. "He-he sa-said y-yes" Chanyeol was a stuttering mess, still shocked. "SEE I KNEW IT!!" Luhan screamed as he jumped on Chanyeol. Jongin laughed, still also processing but very happy for Chanyeol. "Oh yes, finally after four years of staring. I'm proud of you man!" Jongin hugged his shy and introverted best friend.

"Baek~ what were you two talking about?" Kyungsoo wiggled his eyebrows. "He asked me out!" Baekhyun squealed. "Omg what?! Yes finally!!" Kyungsoo said. "FINALLY! " Sehun screamed as Baekhyun started jumping up and down. Other students gave them weird look while passing but stopped when each time Sehun would send a death glare and mouth 'leave', making them run away in terror.

"When are you going out!" Kyungsoo excitedly asked. "This Saturday but I don't know where we're going. I do have his number though" Baekhyun told as he scratched his head. "Shit what do I wear?" His eyes went wide. "We'll figure something out" Sehun reassured.

Just like that, the rest of the day passed by. Every time Baekhyun and Chanyeol saw each other, shy smiles were passed around where as on the other hand, every time Jongin and Kyungsoo saw each other, glares and fingers were pulled up.

As Jongin was walking towards his car so he can finally get out of school, his phone dinged. He unlocked it to see a text from unknown.
