Emily

3 days later and I'm still sore as fuck. I couldn't walk the next day. I'm still smiling. "I got the job.", Terrence said smiling and walking into the kitchen.

"Really!?", I asked smiling.

"Yeah, they just called."

"Oh my God babe congratulations! I know you really wanted this job. We gotta celebrate."

"Baby it's just a job."

"So what, you got it."

Terrence

"Olivia no.", I said as she tried turning the game off. She looked at me and slit her eyes. She had her hand on the game grinning. "Olivia you better not. No cookies or juice.". She looked at the door then back at me. "Olivia no.". She pressed it then ran out laughing as I stood up. I smacked my lips and turned the game on.

"How is the so smart?"

"Her momma smart."

"She stayed with yo' dumb ass so obviously not.". I looked at him. "I'm just playin' but for real how is she so smart? You put her in some baby genius program or some shit?".

"No nigga, she's just a smart baby."

"She go to the bathroom?"

"Sometimes."

"I couldn't go to the bathroom till I was 3.". I just looked at him.

"I was 1 too, you just dumb."

"No I'm not."

"What ever. Pay attention before they kill yo' ass."

Emily

"Can you watch Junior tonight?", Nathan asked.

"Yeah, where you goin'?"

"I'm takin' Samantha out."

"How was your day?", Terrence asked Jayden.

"It was good.", he said smiling and looking down. He went to Jamar's house. Me and Terrence looked at each other and smiled.

"What happened?", I asked.

"We played games and played basketball. He was cheatin' though."

"You always say somebody cheatin'.", Terrence said.

"Cause yall always cheatin'.". We laughed. "Yall remember when I got kidnapped?", Jayden asked smiling. Why is he smiling?

"Why are you smiling?", I asked confused.

"Ma that was some lit shit. My bad, my bad, my bad. Lit stuff. It was gun fire everywhere like bang bang bang.", he said 'shooting' with his hand. "You should've been there. That was so fun.".

"What?", Terrence asked.

"Dad it was fun. I mean I got smacked around a couple of times but that's okay.", Jayden said shrugging his shoulders. "Plus between you and you and you and you and me I kinda liked it. That's weird right?". He pointed to me, Terrence, Olivia and Junior.

"That's yo' son.", Terrence said looking at me. I smiled and shook my head.

"You like gettin' smacked around too?", Jayden asked me.

"Jayden finish eating."

"Ooo momma a freak."

"Jayden!", I said.

"Okay, okay, okay. Gesh. Back to the story, yall remember that?"

"We'll never forget that Jayden.", I said.

"Yall was scared. I wasn't. I'm a boss.", he said smiling.

"Baby are you okay?", I asked.

"Mhm.", he said shaking his head and eating. "Where's Nathan?"

"With Samantha.", I said. Jayden shook his head.

After Olivia fell asleep I put her to bed and went to to our room. Terrence was walking out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. I just looked at him. "What?".

"You just got out the shower?"

"Yeah."

"Come take another one.", I said biting my lip and pulling on his towel.

"I gotta get up early for work baby, not tonight."

"Please."

"Tommorow baby I promise.". I pouted and he kissed me. "I love you.".

"I love you too."
