We managed to sneak back into the castle just fine, but when we got to the common someone was waiting there.
"Where in the name of Merlin's biggest pair of knickers have you been?!" Lily shouted as we clambered through the portrait hole at six in the morning, she looked tired and her hair was messy.
"We, er, were getting in some last minute homework," I said thinking quickly, she might not of noticed I was gone overnight.
"What all night? You ran out of the common room and I haven't seen you since, I waited in the common room then you didn't even come up to our dormitory," she scoffed.
"We, got locked in the library," James said quickly.
"Oh right, what happened to last minute studying?" Lily said, her hands on her hips.
"Ok, we'll tell you," Remus said, we all stared at him, "I was ill, and they snuck up to see me in the hospital wing." The fact he did look ill and his robes were hanging off him loosely added to the effect.
"Oh, well you could've just told me in the first place," she said, rubbing her eyes, "I was really worried that you'd been locked out or something."
"I'm sorry," I mumbled, and I walked forward and hugged her, "you don't have to worry about us, we're the marauders we'll always be fine." She smiled.
"Let's get ready for lesson," James said. We all went up to our dormitories and grabbed our bags and books, me and Lily walked down to the great hall.
"How long was your history of magic homework?" Lily said buttering some toast.
"I think it's 11 inches," I replied as I put some bacon in a toast sandwich.
"Mine was 15," Lily said proudly. The boys came an sat down 5 minutes later, talking and laughing at something.
"What have we got first?" Sirius asked, taking my bacon sandwich.
"Hey, I just made that!" I said trying to take it back.
"Yeah, it's really good," Sirius said, his mouth full.
"History of magic."
"What?" I said.
"We have history of magic next," Remus repeated, I groaned, history of magic was the most boring class ever, taught by Professor Bins, the only ghost teacher.
"Then, we've got a free period," Remus said grinning at me.
"I still don't get how you got a free period a year early," James said, as I started to eat some bacon.
"You, were there," I replied. I had been taking divination classes in third year but after the incident happened I had been excused from it.

We had gone to our first class of crystal gazing, we had all sat together and I had been messing around and making faces in the crystal ball, much to the others enjoyment. I had looked into the crystal ball and I saw horrible scenes, a black-haired baby crying in a cot with a man laughing, then an older, Sirius surrounded by demtors, a boy who looked like James with a scar on his head, dueling with someone. Then images had flashed quickly, James older and dead in front of a doorway, an older Lily dead by a cot, a rat running into a sewer, an older Sirius falling behind a curtain, an older Remus laying dead with someone crying over his body, an older Snape laying dead on the ground, covered in blood, Hogwarts falling apart with flashes of light and again the dark-haired boy who looked like James, a flash of green light and it went blank. I had screamed and pushed the table over, then run out the room, coming face to face with Professor Mcgonagal. She had been shocked to see me out of class and even more to see me crying.

"Yeah?" James said, "but Remus."
"I think it's all stupid and made up nonsense, and what happened to Lyra was the stuff in the air, so I asked Mcgonagal to drop out and she agreed," Remus said, "well we can get some sleep in our free period."
"Yeah," I said, we'd been up most of the night.
"It's not all made up," Lily said, "I think that it could be real."
"What so you think that what Lyra saw is going to happen?" Remus asked sceptically, eating some eggs.
"Well," Lily said, "I mean it could, I don't want it to happen but-"
"But you don't mind thinking we're all going to die?" Sirius said aggressively.
"No, no I don't mean it that way, it's just well, how could she have imagined so much detail?" Lily said, guiltily.
"What about that boy?" Remus said, "I mean if he looks like James but slightly different then is probably because, her mind was trying to make James' son."
"Or it could be my actual son," James said.
"Ok so Lily you believe, you and James are going to have a child?" Sirius mused.
"She didn't say it was our son," Lily retorted.
"He looked like James, with Lily's eyes," I said.
"See," Sirius said.
"Well, fine maybe we might," Lily said grudgingly, James whooped, "Or maybe she saw that part wrong."
"It's time for class," Peter said. We all got up to go, Lily, James, Sirius and Remus still arguing.
"What do you think?" I asked Peter as we trailed to class.
"About what?" He asked.
"Do you believe what I saw is true or do you think it's stupid?"
"Well I'm not sure, I mean you didn't mention anything about me, apart from the rat, but you couldn't of known what I would turn into two years ago."
"Yeah," I said vaguely, he was right I couldn't of known, so was it true? I remembered the images of my friends bodies and put the event from my mind. This was harder when we got to class, where I was sitting in between Lily and Remus who were still arguing, along with Sirius and James. What if I could see the future and they all died? And who was the black-haired boy?
