3. Most peculiar breackfast

I woke up early the next morning and went down to the common room, I went to sit in front of the fire to warm myself up, then I realised that Sirius was asleep on the sofa I front of the fire, I stared for a few seconds then I went to sit in the armchair next to him. He slept for a while then our twin sense seem to tell him I was there and he pushed himself up yawned.

"How long have you been watching me like a perv?" He said stretching and sitting up to look at me.

"I'm not a perv, and it was only like ten minutes," I said throwing a cushion at him.

"Well why are you down this early?" He asked catching the cushion with one hand and dropping it.

"Could ask you the same thing, but I just woke up and couldn't get back to sleep so I came down, you?" I replied as I moved to sit next to him.
"Could t sleep either, now that Peter has started snoring as well as James," he said putting an arm round me.

"Does Remus?" I said asked without thinking and immediately regretted it. Why? Why did I ask now he's gonna think I'm definitely a perv argh and he's my brother.
"Does he what?" Said Sirius looking into the fire.
"Snore, does he snore?" I said again without thinking, I just need to put a silencing charm on myself, why did I answer? Argh is so stupid. Hang on why do I even want to know?
"No, he doesn't," Sirius said looking at me with amusement.
"Why do you want to know anyway?"
"I er- it doesn't matter," I said, uh now it sounds like I'm hiding something, I need to stop.
"What time is it?" I ask quickly.
"Umm, its 5:25 am," he replied.
"Oh?" I said leaning on his shoulder.

The next thing I remember is waking up to murmurs around the sofa and some breathing close to my face. Opening my eyes, I jump as I see a bright green eye looking into my face.
"Lily! What are you doing?!" I yell as she recoils.
"W'st goin on?" Sirius groans sleepily as he sits up and I fall off the sofa.
"Oof, arg that hurt," I said straightening up.
"Sorry," he replied stretching, "you ok?"
"Yeah," I said.
"Come on you two let's go down to breakfast," James says pulling Sirius to his feet.
"What were you doing just watching us?" I said as we walked out the portrait hole.
"Well," says Remus "Lily and James had a bet, Lily said that you would wake up first,"
"But James said that Sirius would wake up first," said Peter bobbing along at my shoulder.
"Oh well that explains it, I guess Lily won?" I yawn and we walk down some stairs to the great hall.
"Yep," says Lily flicking a galleon in the air, while James looks sulky.
"But there was a twist," Remus whispers in my ear. I recoil as it tickles but say,
"What was it?"
"If James won, then Lily had to go on a date,"
"Ah well I'm guessing that's why he's sulky now,"
"Yup," we walk into the great hall and it's buzzing with people and conversation. We take out seats in the middle of the gryffindor table, me in between Sirius and Remus, Lily opposite me, Peter opposite, Remus and James opposite Sirius. As I pile bacon, eggs and toast onto my plate, three owls swoop down and land I front of James,Remus and Lily. James unwraps a pare of bright green boxers that he forgotten to pack and promptly stuffed them away and turned bright red, Lily gives the owl a Knut and opened the Daily Prophet and Remus opened a muggle newspaper with a picture with a man giving a speech on the front. James starts to prod the newspaper, much to Remus' annoyance.
"Oh no," says Lily, looking up from her the daily prophet.
"What?" We all ask immediately, fearing the worst.
"A werewolf, named Fenrir Greyback has attacked a five year old girl," she said with a sad expression. Then the most peculiar thing happened, I felt Remus stiffen and his fists clench, Sirius' eyes widen, James drops his spoon in his cereal and Peter let's a a little squeak. I turn to look at Remus, he face is blazing with anger, fear and saddens at the same time.
"You ok?" I say putting a hand on his arm, and at my touch he relaxes slightly.
"Uh yeah, sorry just remembered something," he replied. After that everything seemed fine so I just let it slip and we finish our breakfast.
"Timetables," said Professor Mcgonagal putting a pile on paper in the middle of our group and sweeping away. We all grab our timetables and scan them then each others.
"We got all the same lessons, except muggle studies, divination, ancient runes and arithmancy" Exclaimed Lily beaming at me then she got up to go see Alice and Marie.
"So have we," said Remus in my ear, I smile at him and turn to Sirius and took his timetable.
"Yup same as you bro, except divination," I said handing him his timetable.
"Peter, James?" I said, showing them my timetable.
"Umm yep all the same except care of magical creatures and divination, great Sirius let's go a sell some fireworks before class," James said getting up.
"Yes but you have muggle studies and I don't and I have divination and you don't," says Peter smiling swiftly.
"Right we'll see you later," Sirius says with a glint in his eyes and he stands up too, and James and Sirius walk off, Peter grabs a slice of toast a scurries after them. I turn to Remus,
"Transfiguration, potions, defence against the dark arts then muggle studies, what a day."
