The next morning we all went to Hogsmeade station to board the train but we met someone there.
"Alright Snivillus?" Sirius said. Snape eyed him with dislike.
"Lily, can I speak to you?" He said stiffly.
"About what?" Lily said coolly, Snape eyed the others nervously. "About what Snape?" Lily repeated.
"Nothing," he muttered and he walked down the platform. Suddenly his leg was jerked into the air, James had his wand on him. Snape twisted and wriggled in the air, his face burning red. I smirked as I watched Snape try to get down, then a hand touched me arm, I turned to see Remus, he gestured to the train and we climbed aboard before anyone else. I was still smirking at what had happened, I looked at Remus, he wasn't smiling he looked grimly ahead of him as we walked to our compartment, I stopped smiling. We found our normal compartment and sat down, I looked out the window, I saw Snape standing with his wand pointing at James. I watched Snape as he shot a curse at James, he stumbled back a gash down his face. Sirius shouted something and Snape was whipped into the air, held up thick ropes, I got up and rushed to see James.
"Relashio!" Snape hissed, the ropes Sirius was holding caught him round the face, I ran outside to them and glared at Snape, his eyes were narrowed.
"Alarte ascendare!" I shouted, Snape was flung in the air before landing in a heap on the ground. "Let's go," I muttered to James and Sirius. We went back to our compartment, Lily helped heal James's gash.
"You don't have to hex him every time you see him," Lily sniffed, sitting down next to me.
"Yeah, well he's a git, int he?" James replied, Lily glared at him before walking out the compartment, to find her friends.
"Prongs, you just have to mess it up don't you?" I sighed.
"What? She knows he is," Sirius said, lying his legs over my lap, I glared at him and he pulled them back.
"Yes, but you don't need to say it," Remus said taking a book out of his bag. James shrugged and set his feet on the table.
"What are you reading?" I asked, as Remus sat down next to me.
"A Christmas carol," he replied, opening the book and beginning to read. I looked over his shoulder and started to read, it was about an old man who hated Christmas. I stopped reading, and listened to the conversations.
"Wonder if we'll get a Christmas present this year?" Sirius said, grinning at me.
"If we do it would probably be a matchstick," I said, smirking back.
"Yeah, well you'll get presents from my parents," James replied, stretching out on his seat. I looked at him, he's always had the best things and the best love, his whole life. He wouldn't know what it's like to spend Christmas hidden in your bedroom. What would it be like to spend Christmas somewhere that wasn't Hogwarts or Grimmauld Place? The train journey went quickly, James brought loads of food, and we played chess and exploding snap.
"Let's go!" James shouted, when the train stopped.
"Where's my wand?" Sirius said, throwing cloaks and bags out the way.
"Padfoot! Stop!" Remus said, throwing his wand at him. Sirius was engulfed by blue smoke, we heard him cough and splutter, once the smoke cleared we saw Sirius, he had blue hair and eyebrows. We all started to laugh at him, as he looked at his reflection.
"Moony! What in Merlin's beard have you done!" Sirius said.
"I have no clue, we can sort it out at James's house," Remus replied, laughing.
"Come on Padfoot," I said handing him his wand. He scowled, I pulled my cloak on and we left the train. We met Lily on the platform, she was talking to Alice.
"Lily! Come on!" I shouted, she turned round and headed towards us.
"Let's go," she said, and we went through the barrier to the muggle platform.
"Look! Over there," James said, pointing at his parents, they were waving and smiling at us. We waved and smiled back as we wheeled out trolleys towards them.
"What has happened to you Sirius dear?" Mrs Potter said, hugging him.
"Wand went off," he muttered, glancing at Remus. Mr Potter waved his wand, making sure I muggles saw, and Sirius's hair and eyebrows turned back to normal.
"Thanks," Sirius said.
"Let's go," Mr Potter said and we got into their car and Mr Potter drove us to the Potter's house.

We arrived, James showed Peter where he would sleep, Remus and Peter were sharing, me and Lily were sharing and James and Sirius were sharing.
"I'm just going to dump my stuff," I said.
"Ok, we'll come with you," Sirius said, picking his bag up. I put my things down in my room, it was so familiar, it had light blue walls and cream carpet.
"You could decorate it if you wanted," someone said behind me, I turned around and Mr Potter was smiling at me. "The room, you could change the colour and add posters."
"Ok," I said, nodding, "thanks." He smiled at me and left. Me and Lily talked about different colours and posters, when a owl flew through my window. It was Jax my owl from my parents, I took the note off its foot and read.
'To Lyra
We have sent you this owl as it won't respond to us.
Mr and Mrs Black.'
I dropped the letter and stroked his head.
"Greypaws, Lily! We're going to play quidditch, want to come?" James shouted.
"Yeah, we'll be there in a sec!" I shouted back, I grabbed my broom and we raced down into their garden. We played quidditch, three against three, until dark when it was dinner, sausage and mash.
