Dan woke submerged in a bad liquid. It stung his eyes and tasted bitter. Like some kind of venom. He couldn't hold his breath much longer. He began to panic and frantically try to swim but it was pitch black in every direction, except up. So he swam up. There was a light. It looked like the sun. He finally reached the surface. He clamped his eyes shut to end the horrible burn. When he opened them the light was directly in front of him. It looked like it had assumed a human shape. It looked like it was waiting. Upon closer inspection Dan realised the form was crying. He was scared of the dark and wanted to comfort the light, so he tried to step towards the light. Then all of a sudden, all the land between him and the being crumbled into a pit. He leaned over and looked into the void. To his horror, long, red and black snakes slithered slowly up the sides of the sink hole. Millions of them came out of the pit. But they did not attack him; instead they rushed towards the creature of light. Dan yelled for them to stop but soon the light was engulfed by worm like structures. And everything faded to black through Dan's screams and sobs.
