Chapter 11

Archer had to tell Sienna more than four times it would take anywhere from twelve hours to twenty-four until they would wake up. She was reluctant to believe him, but finally he got her outside and on a walk with him. They had small talk and some nice silences until Sienna asked, “Why is your dad retiring?”

“He’s getting really old,” he replied quietly. “He wants to travel before he dies... they’re resigning so that they can travel.”

Sienna slowly nodded her head in understanding. She linked her fingers with his and kissed his cheek, “You’re gonna make a great king, Archer.”

“You’re gonna make an even better queen.”

Sienna blushed, “Thanks... What would you have done if I hadn’t come?”

“Waited for you,” he replied seriously. This made Sienna giggle and turn a deeper shade of red. A few minutes passed before she replied.

“You know I love you?”

Archer chuckled, “of course I know. You’re planning on wasting your life with me.”

She let out a fake gasp, clasping her hand to her chest dramatically, “You think I’m marrying you to be with you? C’mon Archer don’t be silly, I’m marrying you to be queen.”

“Do you plan on killing me once you become queen?” He asked, playing along.

Sienna stared at him in fake contemplation for a moment before saying, “nah, I think I’ll keep you.” She leaned up and kissed his cheek,  “I like you.”

“Thought you just wanted to be queen?” He joked.

She grinned cheekily, “nah, I think I like you better than the idea of being queen.”

They walked hand in hand in the garden until Sienna’s phone rang, telling her that everyone had woken up. She quickly let go of Archer’s hand and dashed for the house. She went quite a bit quicker than he did, so he arrived a minute or two after she did.

She sprinted up the stairs and busted into the room that they were all in. The door swung open and hit the wall, but that didn’t phase Sienna in the slightest bit. “Alex!”

Alex stood up from the bed and ran to Sienna, pulling her into a hug and swinging her all around. He put her down and kissed the top of her head, “I missed you, little sis.”

“I’m so so sorry about how I reacted to the news about you and Rach,” she spoke quickly.

He shushed her, “Hey, hey, no it’s okay. We kept it to you for too long. Plus, we’re all just glad you’re okay.”

Before she could reply, Paisley, Rachel and David were out of bed and clamboring over to Sienna hugging her and telling her they loved her. She hugged them all individually and saw the ring on Paisley’s finger.

“Ah! Congratulations Paisley!! It’s about time you and Spencer tied the knot. Oh! Oh! Speaking of which, everyone, this is Archer, my fiancee.”

David gasped and let out a choking sound and shouted, “Your fiancee?”

At those words, Spencer and Riley both woke up.

“Hey everyone’s up!” Aspyn shouted excitedly, “Hi guys! I’m Archer’s sister.”

Everyone said hi to her and she started filling them in on what happened and how they got there, about halfway through David grabbed my arm and pulled Sienna out of the room and down the hall. In a hushed tone he said, “You’re engaged, Sienna, engaged?” Before Sienna could reply he rolled his eyes and looked away.
