Afterwards

Shawn's POV

I was changing my sheets and I was so fucking happy I can't even explain how happy I was. I was so happy that Rae was my first and that I was her's. It made me happy to know that she was my girlfriend. I was just so happy that I was smiling to myself. She walked in and said "Hey handsome." I turned and smiled at her. Then she said "you wanna go get tacos?" I looked at her and said "yah where?" She smiled and exclaimed "Duh TacoBell!" I smiled at her and she said "what?" I smiled bigger and said "I think it's adorable that you don't know how cute you are." She blushed and said "Ok." And then turned and walked away.

Rae's POV

I'm so filled with joy at the moment and I don't understand why. We just had teenage sex that's all it's just sex. Our family doesn't really sweat the concept they rather me not have sex till I have actual commitment but I feel like I could never love anyone than Shawn. I want him to be my first and last love not just one person I used to date in high school. Not my high school lover I never see again after graduation. I want him to be my love for life. I hope he feels the same.

Shawn's POV

She makes me so happy and I'm filled with joy around her. I've never felt this way but that makes sense I've never dated and I've never really found a girl attractive. All the girls at my school are either stuck up or think I'm too good for them and don't take me seriously. I walked downstairs and I looked at Rae waiting for she smiled at me and we started walking then we heard the door close again and here came Billy. She said "Do you want me to drive you?" Shawn looked at me and I looked at him and I said "No thanks we need some time to talk. Thanks for the offer though." She smiled and got in her truck.

Rae's POV
I looked at Shawn and said "We should go to the park afterwards to talk, ok?" "Ok." We kept walking and we were still about 10 minutes away. I looked at Shawn and said " I have to tell you something." He looked at me worried then said "what is it?" I looked ahead and he was looking at me. "Shawn I want to say that, I'm scared to say cause I have a feeling you won't feel the same." He looked at me with sadness in his eyes and I said "Shawn Peter Raul Mendes. I want to stay with you for longer than high school. I don't just want to date in high school then move on once we graduate I don't want to be the couple that broke up because they were scared of commitment Shawn I want to stay with you. And the thought of being with someone else scares me. And the thought of you not in my life makes me not want to live Shawn. You are my life and I love you." He just looked at me I was now crying and I wasn't looking at him in the eyes I was turned. He turned my body toward him and picked me up. As I was lying on his shoulder he said "Rae I love you more than I can explain. And I want you to know that your the best thing that's ever happened to me. You make me happy and you make me the person I am and I want you to know you changed me for the better."
