March 4th 2015, Northwich

As soon as my show finished, I didn't stay to watch the boys and I hopped on a cab on my way to the airport. Harry and I hadn't spoken in two days and luckily enough we had a few days off so I had decided to go spend some days with my family and try to forget about him. Our friends were starting to notice that there was something going on and they were questioning us. I obviously denied everything, blaming my behavior on tiredness, and he probably did the same. Saying I was upset was an understatement, but I was doing my best to keep myself occupied and to not think about it. The only good thing about this situation was that I constantly felt inspired and I had been writing some good songs.

When I arrived home, I recognized the places I had grown up in and felt safe and content for a brief second. I breathed in and knocked on my house's door. I didn't even know why I felt kind of nervous, maybe because I hadn't inform them I'd pay a visit, or maybe because I knew they could read me and I didn't want to talk about it. I even felt stupid for the way I was feeling, because I had actually hoped and believed that I meant something to him. People online were right, he would never like me, he was way out of my limits.

My mother opened the door and as soon as she realized I was standing in front of her, I could tell she was surprised by her misty eyes and by the way she hugged me. She held me more tightly than she had ever done before. We chatted for a while and she luckily let it go when I told her I was exhausted and there was nothing going on.

She was a surgeon and, after a while, she was called because of an emergency so I was left alone in the house I grew up in. I walked to my room and I was surprised to see that they hadn't changed anything, it was just a little be tidier. There were still my band posters, my vinyls, my books... everything that I had left behind almost two years ago. I laid on my bed and thinking about my past and my crazy life, I fell asleep.

"There's someone that keeps on ringing you" someone gently woke me up. I opened my eyes to find my mother smiling down at me.  She then exited the room while I was slowly waking up. I looked at my reflection in the mirror that was on the wall and I looked like a well rested little girl. I walked down and took my phone, realizing that I had slept for twelve hours and it was now the next day. I had seven missed calls from Harry and a few texts from other people. I thought that something had happened to him and panicked so I immediately called him back.

"Hi" he answered right away

"Is everything okay?" we talked simultaneously

"Umh, yeah" he giggled, "I've read online that you're in Northwich and I'm in Cheshire so I thought we could meet up, I need to talk to you" he rambled, leaving me speechless.

"Jade?" he said, not hearing an answer coming from me

"Yeah, sorry, umh, are you sure that's the right thing to do?" I asked, "what if they spot us?"

"I know some places"

"Or you could come here, I will be at home alone all afternoon anyways" I offered and he agreed. I told him my address and he said he'd be there in the early afternoon. I was curious to know what made him change his mind but, for some reason, I felt nervous.

Since it was 12pm, I had some eggs and bacon as brunch. Then I tidied up the house a little and decided to bake some cupcakes. I had always loved baking and I used to do it every Sunday when I lived with my mum but in the last year I had gotten out of the habit. After two hours they were done, some of them were chocolate flavored, others were vanilla flavored, because I didn't know which ones he did prefer.

As soon as I finished, I heard the door bell ringing. My heart started beating faster and I probably looked like a teenage girl dealing with her first crush. I opened the door to find Harry in front of me, looking heavenly as usual, with a box of pralines in his hands.

We said hello, I thanked him for the chocolate, showed him around the house and we finally sat on the couch. I offered him a cupcake and his eyes lit up. Then he joked by saying that he loved chocolate cupcakes and that I had made his day already.

"So..." he said in between bites, "I came here to apologize"

"There's no need to Harry"

"I wasn't finished..." he paused, "I'm sorry for the way I behaved in Tokyo... I should've stopped you to talk to you about everything... I took some time to think and you were right, I am scared... I am fucking scared because it's only been a few months and I'm feeling something so strong that I can't even explain..." he looked at me directly in my eyes, "but at the same time I know I have to protect you... if you get associated to me, things will change and it's not worth it for you to go through all of that for me" he finally said

"Why don't you let me choose if it's worth it or not?" I let out and he grinned.

"You know why I like you so much?" he said as I raised my eyebrow, "because I've met a lot of people but never someone quite like you... you have faith in me... while girls usually believe that I'm a womanizer because of rumors"

"Why would I believe in rumors when I'm getting to know you and you have proven that you're like the opposite of what magazines describe you to be?" I asked, "I'm feeling something strong too and I'm scared too Harry, everything's new to me, but running away from it won't make things better or easier"

"You sound like my mother" he giggled and I gently hit him on his arm, "what?" he kept laughing, "I've talked to her about this situation and she said the same thing"

"She's a smart woman unlike her son then" I crossed my arms and stuck out my tongue at him

"She's one of the reasons why I'm here actually" he smiled, "Louis gave me a hard time too though"

"Gave you a hard time huh?" I mocked him

"You have no idea" he said as I snorted. He laughed and pulled me closer to him. We were back to the start then.

"You know we wouldn't be able to do normal things right?" he hesitantly said

"How many times do I have to tell you that I wouldn't mind staying in for hours, even days, as long as I'm with you?" I said while I rested my head on his chest and felt the beating of his heart. It wasn't beating as fast as mine, but i was still fast. I looked up at him and he was grinning. I loved it when he smiled, his dimples appeared and you could see his two front teeth and the crinkles by his eyes. Our eyes met and his grin grew wider.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" he laughed, pulling his bottom lip between his white teeth, as my cheeks turned red.

"What will we do? Do you know what do you want Harry?" I asked while holding him

"I think I do" he said before finally leaning in. He hovered for a moment, like he wanted to make sure I wanted it too, so I leant the short distance and placed my lips on his.
