Percy POV
I didn't want it to end like this. I wanted to graduate high school with her and go to collage in New Rome with her. I wanted to go home with all of my friends and see my mom and Paul. To be care free talking and laughing. To eat nice warm blue cookies. I didn't want to go home drowning in memories of their deaths. I didn't want Chiron to give me a look that said something tragic happened. That my life got worse. I didn't want to hear that my mother and step-father died by the hands of my torturer. I didn't want to leave my safe haven of camp, but I can't deal with the good memories that I'm unable to have. I didn't want Gaea to ruin my life. To rip it apart so that it may never repair. Here is how it happened.
-----flash back------
My eyes stung as I took a visual sweep of Camp Half-Blood. All the other campers but the seven, Nico, Reyna, and Octavian were in the Big House being protected by Legion members, Clarisse, and Travis. Piper died by a spear being plunged into her chest. Frank died by his stick of life being burned by a Hydra. Hazel died by a hellhound sneaking up behind her as her scream was heard all over the battle field. The scream distracted Leo causing him to be crushed by a giant. See this started after Annabeth and I accidentally started the war by waking up my wonderful great grandmother. One lousily nosebleed. Anyways, we were fighting non stop against monsters. Reyna had tears as did the rest. I blindly charged a group of monsters. As I fought, I watched Reyna get dicapitated, and Jason was stabbed in the gut. I finished off the monster I was fighting and slid beside my cousin. "Yo! Percy. If " he coughs. "Nico lives, look out for him." He coughs again. "I know he doesn't need it but do it anyway." He coughs again but sounded more horrible than before. "And Percy? Let me be with her please." I listened to Jason's words as I pulled the sword out. That apparently made it worse and Jason stopped breathing. I let out a small whimper. No one could hear it over the cries of my falling comrades. I began fighting again. Nico by my side. "Where's Annabeth?" I asked Nico. Before he could answer, a scream rippled through the air. I growled and ran towards Gaea. Gaea had Annabeth hanging in the air. Her Yankees cap was lying on the ground. Gaea's hand was on Annabeth's neck. I can feel anger building up. "Let her go Gaea. This will be between you and me." I said with a growl. Annabeth looked a little more scared. "All right godling. I'll put her down." Gaea snapped Annabeth's neck and dropped her on the ground. The gods flashed in behind me. I felt their stares on my back. "Noo! Wise Girl!" I shouted. Tears came put like waterfalls. My eye sight going red with the anger of everyone dying. I didn't care anymore. I ran faster than ever towards the one who killed my Annabeth, my sweet wise girl, my soulmate. Gaea eyes widened as I ran. Then she smiled. I felt the blade of an earth sword pierce my left side of my chest. My face contorted in pain but glared at the primordial. I stabbed her in the gut with Riptide, then took Riptide and stabbed her in the heart, all the while I created a hurricane using the water from the lake. I rose Gaea and myself high in the air. I then twisted Riptide and let go. I pulled The earth sword from my body and dropped to my knees then falling to the ground on my back. I put one hand on my wound and looked up the smokey sky. All the while I heard the last breathes of my two remaining cousins. Who lay beside me with wounds that are lethal. I squeezed my eyes shut in pain. I felt my dad put a hand on my my cheek. I open my eyes to see him and Athena standing behind him. I let out a wimper louder than I wanted to sounding so much in pain. "Make it stop." I whispered with a wheeze. Dad created a little ball of water and carefully placed it on my chest where the whole was. I wimpered again from the water healing me. Dad was about to speak when Athena walked up to me. She knelt down beside me with eyes glistening with tears. "I am sorry for doubting you, hero. I am also sorry that you had to lose her this way. From now on, I will help you in any way I can." She said. She placed her hand on my forehead and a grey glow surrounded me. She stood up and held out a hand for me to stand up. Riptide returned to my pocket and I uncapped it, useing the sword as a lean on with the blade side down. "Perseus. You are granted two wishes." Zeus called out as I walked towards the Big House. I stopped. "I want Annabeth but that is not optional is it?" I ask. They shake their head. "I will have Hades and Hestia's thrones returned to Olympus. Then, I want peace. No Roman, or Greek gods will do ever so much as contact me until I want to return. I just want a break and gather myself." I say with a tinge of bitterness. I continue on walking. As I pass Chiron, he gives me a look. The look saying 'I'm sorry to say this' look. "Percy. You can't go home. Sally and Paul are dead." He deadpans. I froze more hot tears streamed down my face. I nodded and kept walking.
------flash back end------- So that is how, I ended up broken. I am broken with no promise of being fixed. I am just an empty shell with no hope of being filled.
