Two worlds, One Light, One Not So Much

Sarah's Story part one

i split this up into two parts. one part is before the mission and the other is after. i didn't want you guys to wait any longer to read something :)

Sarah's pov

i throw the folder onto the table and plop down on the couch. The hotel room is pretty small. there is a single bed across from the window which is on the right side of the room. the tv sits against the far wall with the couch in the middle and the tiny kitchenette takes up the most room. the bathroom is comparably smaller with a shower, toilet, and sink. the mirror just barely touches the ceiling. the coffee table between me and the tv is littered with wallets, jewelry, and a coffee cup. i have the tv on low so i can hear it, but it won't interupt my thoughts. i had gone through the folder plenty of times. Alexus had met up with me at some local bar the previous day to tell me i was needed for a mission. there were three other people involved. Tara, Fang, and Noel. Noel stood out among them. he was handsome in the rough looking type of way. he has short brown hair cut close to his head and brown eyes. the thing that caught my attention was thathe was smiling in his picture. smiling was very odd when you were in this buisness. though he is only a computer nerd which probably explains why. the smile isn't bad, but it's cheesy in a cute way.

i smile to myself at my thought process when i hear my name on the tv. i grab the remote and turn it up. the Japanese reporter begins and i translate it wuickly through my head

The notorious thief that goes by the name Black Cat has struck again. Three jewlery stores in downtown Tokyo were robbed last night around three AM. there is no evidence on the cameras that give clues as to what she looks like. if you have any information please call..

I smile at my handiwork. i'm goin to be making some good money when i get back to the states. i put all of the jewlery into the secret part of my bag and go through the wallets. i take out a few of the women's IDs and all of the credit cards as well as the money. once i have everything stashed into my bag i grab the blonde wig out of the bathroom to cover my wavy brown hair and put in green contacts to cover my dark brown eyes. i grab the folder and look through it again. a simple job really, but one that will pay well. folder in hand and bag over my shoulder i check out of the hotel and go to the airport where a private jet is waiting for me thanks to Alexus. once in the jet i allow myself to relax. my dark purple and black wings unfold behind me and i fall asleep to catch up on the lack of sleep from the past couple days.

With the blonde wig burned i work on my normal hair. working through it with a flat iron the wavy mess turns straight and controllable. my hair is about shoulder length in the front and gradually becomes shorter near the back where it is barely touching my neck. i grab my black DCs with purple laces and put the bottom of my black skinnies into them. straightening my black T-shirt i grab my bag and get off the plane. Alexus is waiting in a black car. she is sitting in the back seat so i slide in next to her. she has on a tight red dress fit for an afternoon cocktail. her hair is up in spirals so maybe she is heading to a cocktail party after this.

"How was the plane ride?" she asks in her sickenly sweet voice.

"That isn't what we are here to talk about. where are we headed?" i reply as she taps the driver on the shoulder. the driver heads out of the airport and we head past signs saying New York City 10 miles.

"New York. I have a party to go to so my driver will take you to the hideout where you will meet up with the other three." she says confirming my thoughts from earlier.

"Anything i need to know before you go?" i ask as we come to a stop outside a fancy looking building. she opens the door and is about to get out, but looks back at me.
