Girlfriend
I woke up the next morning being licked to death. And completely forgetting what had happened the night before, I must have blacked out. And for a second I thought I'd brought a girl back with really bad breath. Then realised it was one of my dogs, his name is Prince by the way. And we have his girlfriend who is called Princess. They are both 2 years old and are beautiful Great Danes. They are a German breed known for their giant size. Which for lack of better words means they give bigger and better cuddles. Slightly intimidating when they are towering over you lying on the floor though.
I only realised what had happened the night before when I looked in the mirror and saw the state of my face. I looked like I'd been run over by a truck. I had a broken nose which was accompanied with two black eyes. I'm lucky I didn't have work for a few days.
I grabbed my phone off the floor and jumped on the sofa, wrapping a blanket over me. I decided today will mostly be pyjamas and DVDs. I looked down at my phone, wanting to find clues about what had actually happened the night before and I noticed there was a few texts.
Tall sexy blonde: hey let me know you got home okay x
Tall sexy blonde: I'm really worried now. Just let me know you're alright please babe? Xx
And there was even 3 missed calls from this tall and sexy blonde. But who the hell is tall sexy blonde? I sat there completely baffled, trying to hack my brains out. But right now, it even hurt too much to think. I didn't want to be rude but curiosity got the better of me so I messaged back.
Me: Sorry who is this tall sexy blonde? I must of had one too many drinks last night. Apologises x
Within a couple of minutes, I had my response. This person must have been sat waiting with their phone in their hand. I hope I hadn't made them worry too much, even if I didn't have a clue who I was talking to.
Tall sexy blonde: it's Jess. Don't you remember last night? Xxx
Me: Oh heyyyy gurrrl! Course I remember you... Just didn't recognise the name I'd saved you under. Sorry x
Tall sexy blonde: that's because I put my number in your phone you wally. Don't you remember? Xxxx
Me: Honestly? No. Last night is a bit of a blur to me. I woke up on my kitchen floor this morning, I think I passed out. Was I really drunk when you saw me x
Tall sexy blonde: I think you'd had a few but it's probably the morphine that made you pass out. I'm really worried you can't remember anything. Xxx
But before I had chance to reply to her last message, Jess called me and filled me in on everything. I was shocked at how much I didn't remember, this only caused Jess to worry even more. She was adamant on sending a doctor round, just to make sure I was okay. I didn't think it was necessary but Jess was persistent. So when we got off the phone, I done as I was told and text her my address, while changing her name to Jess in my phone. She said the doctor would be round in the next couple of hours. Which gave me enough time to quickly clean the apartment and make myself look a bit more presentable and more human like. I threw on my joggers with a vest top, but it was more like a little crop top as it was quite short. It covered my mid section but left my hips a little revealed. I quickly ran a brush through my hair and applied some hairspray. It was more wavy this morning as last nights curls had dropped out.
Just as I sat on the sofa with my morning coffee, the intercom rang so I just quickly buzzed to let the doctor in. I put the dogs in their bedroom (yes they have their own room) because I weren't sure the doctor would appreciate them running around while he's trying to do his job. But as I swung the front door open, I wasn't greeted by the doctor. In front of me stood the biggest bouquet of flowers, probably the biggest bouquet of flowers I've ever seen. I told them to come in and soon realised it was Jess standing behind the very beautiful and very colourful flowers. We made our way in to the kitchen and she placed them on the work top.
