From his vantage point on the palace roof, Brandt watched the proceedings below him. He sat comfortably next to his sniper rifle and watched as his only living child walked down the aisle with her cousin's husband and pledged her undying love for a murderer. An incredibly useful murderer, if Louise had just gone along with the plan.
But that was of little consequence now. Louise was about to pay for the role she had played in the greatest disappointment of Brandt's life. He would allow Louise her moment in the sun, he wasn't a completely heartless father, but she would pay.
He was just glad his wife was still willing to do her duty. It was her actions that allowed him to be here today. They really should have moved her from the embassy mansion sooner. Brandt had used his one phone call from prison to contact her. It didn't take a long conversation with her to realise that she would help him in any way possible. She had followed his directions as perfectly as Louise had never done.
Elise had come and visited him every day, bringing him information on their daughter's movements. And small contraband items that she could smuggle past Wakandan authorities, such as bobby pins. Using these items, Brandt had managed to pick the lock on his cell and slip out in the middle of the night. He had then procured a rifle and, disguising himself as a member of the ridiculously small orchestra Louise had hired, made his way past T'Challa's security and on to this roof.
Looking through his scope, Brandt saw his daughter kiss her new husband. Brandt quickly got into position and watched as Bucky and Louise turned to face their guests. Brandt took aim at Louise, "Congratulations, My dear," Brandt chuckled as he pulled the trigger. He smiled in satisfaction as he watched Louise sink to the ground.
