Chapter 2 - On the way home

Harry's Pov

The days following up to September 1st was uneventful. George dropped by a few times with his girlfriend Angelina. You can tell George was still trying to move on from the loss of his twin brother Fred, but he had Angelina and all of us to help him.

The oldest Weasley son, Bill came by with his wife Fleur and announced that they were going to extend the family by having a baby. That was the most excitement and joyful news that any of us have heard in a few weeks.

We hadn't heard from the second oldest Weasley, Charlie since right after the reconstruction of Hogwarts. He went back to Romania to work with the dragons. Percy the pompous Weasley also the third oldest brother, has came around a few times with his fiancé Penelope Clearwater. They started dating in my second year of Hogwarts and we all approve of her. Percy has been putting up a extra effort to make up, for his wrong decision in choosing his work over his family. Everyone is on the mend, but getting through.

It was September 1st, everyone was in a rush to get their things together and head to the train station. Ginny and Hermione were the only two out of the four of us that had already had their trunks packed and ready to apparate to the train station.

" Ron and Harry get down here now with your trunks! We are going to be late!" I heard Mrs. Weasley shouting at us from downstairs.

"Ok, we are coming!" Ron yelled back.

Ron and I finished topping off our trunks with our socks and closed them. We held out our wands and said "Locomotor trunk" and the trunks started to descend out of Ron's room and down the stairs, us following behind them holding our wands out to them.

We made it down the stairs and let our trunks plop on the floor with a loud clunk. "Finally decided to join us?" Ginny asked with sarcasm but she also wore a smile.

"Ok lets go kids. Ginny you can apparate with Hermione since your still too young to apparate alone. Make sure you grab your trunks." Mrs. Weasley demanded.

We all apparated to the alley by the train station. When we made sure we all were present and accounted for, we took our things and made it to the front doors of the station. We all walked toward platform 9 3/4 and one by one we ran through the barrier. As soon as I seen the Hogwarts Express I had to smile. I was starting to get excited. I turned around and looked at everyone else and they all were smiling. Probably feeling the same way as I do, I thought.

We all hugged Mr. And Mrs. Weasley and said our farewells. Mrs. Weasley had tears in her eyes. "You kids stay out of trouble and do not make mischief this year. I will see you all at Christmas."

"You kids have a great last year and Keep a look out in the Daily Prophet." Mr. Weasley told us with a grin and a gleam in his eye.

"Why dad, is there more trouble?" Asked Ron with curiosity.

"No Ron, it will finally be good news for our family. Don't worry about anything. Just have fun and learn. Look for your future job oppurtunities, figure out what you all want to do with your lives when you have finished your schooling. No pressure though." Mr. Weasley ended with a laugh.

We all nodded our heads. Ron had a look of horror on his face though. Im guessing he just realized that he will have to find a job after school.

We said another round of goodbyes and started loading up the train with our things and ourselves.

Ginny went ahead of us to find an empty compartment. I accidentally bumped into someone, trying to get my trunk turned around. Without looking up i said " I'm sorry."
