Chapter 10: An answer, ready set go!!

Hermione's P.O.V

Harry and I were dancing slowly. I was enjoying every moment of it and then he asked me if I would marry him if this mission and school was over. I know I looked shocked but I was ecstatic. I looked at him and a huge smile formed on my face.

I looked into his beautiful green eyes and said," Yes Harry I will marry you. I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you "

"I love you too Mione. You are my everything. Thank you for saying yes." He bent down and kissed me with so much love and passion. Then he pulled out red a box that looked old and then he opened it. There set a princess cut diamond  gold ring with tiny rubies around the diamond. My mouth hung open as I looked at it. He took the ring out of the box and held it to where I could see the engraving. On one side it said "James and Lily forever" in tiny print. Right beside that it had "Harry and Hermione forever". "Harry its beautiful." I said with a tear running down my face. He then slipped it on my finger.

"It was my mums. She had it in my vault and I added our names, She also had a letter with it to me and also one to an unknown person" He said.

"Aww Harry, what do they say?" I asked him placimg my hand on his face to comfort him.

He then pulled out the letter from his pocket and I could tell that he read it over and over. There were tear stains on the parchment and it had yellowed with age. He handed it to me so I could read it. I opened it very carefully and read:

My Dearest Harry,
  
        If you are reading this it means that I have passed on in some form or fashion after James and I have hid. Voldemort probably has found your father and I. I only hope that you have survived. I wish I could see you grow to be a great wizard and a caring and loving man. I just want you to know that no matter what you are so loved. You are the light in this dark time. You give your father and I great pride. We stand by your crib at night and watch you sleep. You amaze us. You are our babyboy and our greatest achievement. One day you will grow up and find that one special witch that makes your heart sing and your stomach drop. She will be the one you can always count on. She will be firm yet loving. She will be your strength when you are feeling weak and dont think you can go on. She will be your soul mate. The one you cannot live without. This ring that I am passing on to you is my engagement ring that your Grandmother potter gave to your father to give to me. I want you to give it your soul mate, the one you can not live without. I also wrote this special young lady a letter, so please give it to her. Do not worry, I didnt embarrass you like some parents would do. Well, I must go, you are waking up in your crib crying for food. You are honestly a bottomless pit. Haha. I love you so much baby, with all my heart and soul. Take care of yourself.

I folded the letter back up and tears were streaming down my face. I looked at Harry and he was looking at the floor. I pulled him into a hug and held him. "Your parents loved you so much Harry."

"I know, I wish I could have known them." He whispered in my hair.

I pulled back and looked in eyes." It will be okay. You have me Harry." I said and kissed him.

"I love you so much Hermione." He said after kissing me back." He pulled out another letter and handed it to me." This is yours."

I opened it carefully and looked at Lily's handwriting for the second time and I began to read.
