Chapter 6: The DADA Professor

Harry's POV

Night faded and dawn approached. It seemed like I had just went to sleep. Hermione stayed in the girls dorm and I stayed in the boys instead of our own heads rooms. We both were too exhausted to walk back. Alot has gone on in just the first night that we have returned to Hogwarts. I'm not entirely sure that this is going to be a peaceful year like we all hoped it would. Pansy is still Pansy. If she hasnt changed she probably wont ever change. Oh well I guess we will get through whatever comes our way like we always do I thought as I rolled off the bed to get ready for breakfast.

I put my glasses on and looked around the boys dormitory, all that was there were Ron and myself. The others must have already gone down to the Great Hall. I went over to Ron's bed and shook him to wake up. He jumped and asked " Wheres the fire?"

" In the Great Hall, come on Ron lets go get breakfast." I replied.

"If it wasnt for food I would have cursed you Harry." Ron said shaking his head. He got up and got dressed and we walked down to the common room to meet Hermione and the others. We waited for what it seemed like hours when Hermione, Sheila, and Ginny came down  from the girls dormitory. Hermione looked absolutely breathtaking. She walked to where I was standing and gave me a kiss and all I could do was smile and say "good morning beautiful."

She looked me in the eyes and whispered " Good morning love."

"Shall we go down to breakfast?" Ron asked, acting as if he hadn't heard the exchange between us.

We all nodded and made our way out of the Fat Ladys portrait hole, Hermione and I were holding hands as we walked along.

When we made it to the doors of the great hall someone was calling for us to wait up. We all turned around and it was Draco, Ally, and Blaise Zabini. The three of them made it to us all out of breath from running up from the dungeons.

"Thanks for waiting up guys, we were trying to hurry." Blaise said panting like a dog hanging out of a car window.

"Um...your welcome." I replied confused. It was weird how Blaise automatically wanted to hang out with us or maybe he was there in the background last night and I was too worried about Hermione to realize it. After all Ginny does have a thing for him.

"Well should we go and have breakfast now since the whole gang is together?" Ron asked impatiently.  We all knew how grumpy he gets without food in his stomach.

"Not all of us are here." I said to him.

Ron looked confused until I said "Goyle isn't here yet." It was like a lightbulb struck in his mind. All I could do was shake my head. How would Goyle feel if after last night we told him that we would be his friend and then exclude him. I wouldnt be to happy if it was me.

"I will go get him." Ally said and ran down to the dungeons. We waited for about five minutes and she was back with Goyle in tow.

"Okay we are all here now then? Ron asked impatiently.

We all nodded and walked into the Great Hall. Of course everyone had to stare at us making myself and a few other shift ever so slightly uncomfortable. I looked up at the staff table and caught eyes with Mcgonnagall and pleaded with my eyes for her to say something to everyone about staring and how rude it was. I can't believe that all she did was smirk. I had my mouth open in an awe moment still looking at the Headmistress, when I heard from behind me a voice yelling " What? Ya'll have never seen friends walk into the Great Hall before? You all need to get a life! Now go back to eating your breakfast, you bunch of gits!" Of course it had to have been Sheila. I think she is the only one of us that speaks her mind really. Although everyone seemed to have listened to her because there was a lot of scraping of plates after the outbursts. We all laughed and sat at the Gryffindor table.
