Chapter 7 - An unbelievable tale

Harry's POV

After defense was over, I was walking down the third floor corridor and excruciating pain hit my forehead where my scar was. It felt like my head was on fire. I couldnt take the pain so I dropped down to my knees and everything went black.

Sheila and I ran back up to the castle and I was hoping that Harry was all right. I knew deep down that Sheila wouldnt have lied about Harry being in pain somewhere in the castle.

"Where do you think Harry is? I asked Sheila.

"Hold on, let me think." Sheila stopped running and closed her eyes. After thirty seconds she opened them again and started running. toward the grand staircase."He is on the third floor corridor."

We made it finally to the third floor and there was Harry laying face down. I ran up to where he was laying and dropped down beside him and rolled him over so I could see his face. His face was scrunched up in pain but he wad unconscious.

"Harry, please wake up." I begged him with tears in my eyes. Please not again I thought to myself. "Sheila, please go get Madam Pomfrey!" I heard Sheila running the other direction to get to the infirmary. I kept trying to wake Harry up and praying that his scar hurting wasn't a sign for dangerous things to come.

I looked around where I was. It looked like the quidditch pitch. I remembered my scar hurting, it was a dull ache now. Im not sure how I got to the quidditch pitch though. I had just left Defense and I had been walking through the third floor corridor when I had that awful pain.

I heard a whistle and my firebolt appeared beside me. I jumped on and raised up in the air looking for the person whom whistled.

I looked around and heard someone calling my name. "Harry, over here!"

I looked in the direction I heard it coming from and when I seen who it was I almost fell off my broom. Sitting there on a broom in Gryffindor quidditch robes with a captain badge pinned on his robes, was a man I hadn't ever met in real life but always wanted to. My dad James potter. He looked only a few years older than me. "Dad?" I whispered.

"Yes Harry its me." He said with the same crooked grin that I always wear. I looked at him flabbergasted. "You can close your mouth son, flies do come this high up. You wouldnt want to swallow any. Nasty buggers. " He said laughing.

"How is this even possible?" I asked.

"Well, first off you are not dead. Secondly I am dead. Third, well let me explain it to you." He replied with a grin. He then motioned for me to follow him back to the ground. We got off our brooms and he sat on one of the benches near the Gryffindor tent. I sat beside him and I felt like crying. My dad, after all these years. I really dont even know him. All I have heard is his distant voice and only know the things people have told me about him. Wait a minute. I thought back to the night at the Burrow where I had that dream. "It was you, the one who I couldn't see in my dream but your voice felt familiar." I looked up at him and stared in awe.

"Yes it was me. I have been trying to get Hermione and yourself to realize what I was trying to tell you. You both are slow on the uptake sometimes." He grin laughing half heartedly.

" Why didnt you just tell me who you were? I wouldn't have thought you were a nutter if you would have just told me." I said exasperated.

"I really couldnt at the time. It took alot of powerful and exhausting magic I still hold to even come to you now." He said looking older than he had looked just a few moments ago.
