Two halves

William lands next to the girl "If you succeed you'll disappear" he says earning a shrug "I'd rather live as a vampire then as a reaper" the girl says and the two leave.

Flare is sitting on her bed when Ciel enters and she asks "Shouldn't you be with your fiance?" "She left, her mother wasn't pleased with what she heard" Ciel says as he sits next to her "Besides, I can't trow you out, I promised the Undertaker I'd take care of you" he adds "Dad would understand" Flare says and she wipes away some tears "Look at me" Ciel whispers, but she shakes her head "I look horrible" she says. "Well everyone here would be willing to listen to you" Ciel says and he leaves the room to find Sebastian with some papers "I'm surprised she hadn't left yet" Ciel says as he gets a file "Her father side was mostly human, her mother's side of the family is interesting, first there was a demon who fell in love with a vampire, eventually they became enemies with demons and the vampire took their son and left". Ciel looks at Sebastian and asks "Anything else?" "Yes I believe I found Flare's great grandfather" Sebastian says and he adds "We'll go there another time". Ciel nods and says "Make sure Flare gets what she wants, she won't work until she absolutely wants to", he leaves and Sebastian sighs knocking on the door before going in "Flare, are you alright?" "No" Flare says rolling to her other side so she faces him "Can I get ice cream? It always helps when I eat that" she says and Sebastian chuckles "Of course"

The next day Flare is making breakfast absendminded and Sebastian walks in after waking up Ciel "You're going to cut your hand like that" he says walking over, he taked the knife from Flare and sighs "Go help the young master" he says and Flare nods saying "Alright", she wished he could have let her finish cooking though, so she calls "Keep an eye on the eggs!". In Ciel's room she sweatdrops "Let me help with that" she says walking over and she mumbles "I really should teach you how to tie your shoelaces though" "The queen send me a letter, we need to investigate a cursed castle and you're coming with me" Ciel says and he sighs "Maybe later", Flare nods and leaves the room again only to walk into Sebastian "He'll be coming to eat breakfast shortly" she says walking past the demon that became a second father figure to her. They leave after breakfast and Flare is handed a black dress to wear "I hate dresses" she mumbles as Sebastian helps her in, the dress itself was okay, but it was too long for her liking, she like the red rose patterns though "You look good in them though" Ciel says as they sit down "And you three, don't burn down the mansion" he says looking at the other three servants "Why are we wearing formal clothes again?" Flare asks and Ciel says "A well respected noble is holding a party there this evening, we're guests and Sebastian is our butler", he earns a nod and the rest of the trip is rather quiet. Flare wondered if he couldn't have called Lizzy to come along, but figured she'd be there as well, Sebastian had put her hair in a braid and anyone who had seen her before would have trouble recognizing her.

They arrive and gets out of the carriage "Welcome lord Phantomhive" male says and Ciel helps Flare out "Thank you for the invitation" he says and the man looks at Flare "Who's the lovely lady?" he asks and Sebastian says "Flare, she'll be my master's date for this party, his fiancé didn't want to come to a supposed cursed place". They go inside and Flare scans the room, her eyes slightly glowing since the place was dimly lit with candles, but she could sense one or maybe two extra vampires, they were nobility most of the time "Ah miss Flare, plessure to see you doing alright" a male says and Flare deadpans "Stop saying miss, unlike my grandmother I'm not nobility" "But you are" the male says walking of. Ciel raises an eyebrow "A vampire" Flare mumbles and she adds "And my grandmother owns a huge jewelry industry, she tends to find rare gems, like my necklace, she uses them to make protective charms" "And your necklace is a charm too right?" Ciel asks earning a nod "One that protects me from the sunlight, it's only half working though, my human half is enough to make sure I don't get hurt in the sun" she explains as they enter the ballroom "A lot more then I thought" she mumbles, but she could see most were low ranking vampires. The trio spots a girl watching them as the music starts "Let's dance" Ciel says lightly pulling Flare along "And why did he call you miss?" he asks and Flare sighs "I come from a line of royalty, my grandmother cut that connection though, so technically I'm not royalty either" she says and shrugs "I'm fine with my life the way it is" she says and adds "I got to meet you after all", she blushes slightly and Ciel says "True, but let's go to the queen to see if we can arrange something" "The queen is a half vampire too" Flare says quietly, but Ciel heard her "But she got a charm that makes sure everything is hidden for angels, demons and even reapers" she explains and Ciel smiles "You can dance pretty well" he says and Flare's face becomes more red "Ronald taught me" she says "He wanted to become my boyfriend, but Undertaker treatened to put him in a coffin and close it with as many nails as he could fit" she says and Ciel chuckles. They hear a scream and everyone turns towards the doors "Sure invite this many vampires to a cursed place something is bound to happen" Flare says and a dark purple cloud creature floats into the room "What's that" Flare asks and Ciel says "All I know is that it doesn't look friendly", suddenly the creature dissolves into a huge purple gas and it sweeps through the room, knocking everyone, besides the demon and reaper, to the ground "What is that?" Sebastian asks, but the girl says "Not a clue", she cuts it in half with her scythe and the purple mass disappears "Young Master" Sebastian says running over to Ciel and Flare "I'll be fine, it affected the vampires more then the humans" Ciel says and he looks at Flare "I'm good, kinda" she says, but falls forward as she stands up "Dizzy" she mumbles, so Sebastian picks her up. "Her two halves are conflicting" the reapee girl suddenly says and she adds "There's a way to fix that, the chance it'll work is pretty small though" "Not here" Ciel says and he looks at Sebastian "When we're back at the manor make a sweep of this place" he says and they head off. At the manor the reaper explains that she's Flare's other half "So if one of us dies the other becomes stronger" Flare says earning a nod from the reaper "However, I would have to kill you twice" "Let me think about it" Flare says earning a nod "Alright".
