"Are you sure you want to?" Isabella asks when she's helping Flare get dressed about a week later "I might as well visit, besides, it's for business" "I will come with you then" "Thanks Isa", after breakfast the two get in the carriage, well Flare gets in while her best friend/servant sits at the front "Be careful" Silviana says "Of course" Isabella says as they head off. Flare takes her time to read the case file the Undertaker had given her, she wouldn't need to visit "Since when is your hair white?" Isabella asks glancing at Flare, who puts the file down "A few days ago I think", the trip to Phantomhive manor is uneventful for the most part and Sebastian opens the door when Isabella gets down "I seem to remember you had a hatred for dresses" he says, walking over to Flare to help her "Not the ones that don't reach the ground" she says accepting his help "I'm here strictly for a new case" she adds "Right this way, the young master should be in the kitchen, Finny is trying to teach him how to cook" Sebastian says, he takes her coat and sighs "You know, the young master hasn't been the same" "Flare is just Flare I guess, just less cheerful, I should go with her". The kitchen is a mess and Flare sighs "Ciel, I know you're not exactly a good cook, but this is insane, where's Bard?" "Banned from the kitchen until further notice" Ciel says "Sebastian, clean the kitchen, escort Flare to the lounge afterwards" "I can have Isa escort me" she points out "If she remembers where to go" Sebastian says earning a nod, Sebastian finds the two discussing the case like it's the most normal thing in the world "So if it's not a vampire, what's causing it?" "There is a rare type of snake which is often kept as pets, but I checked with all my informants, no one has seen one, ever" Flare explains "Lau might know" Ciel says "Spoke to him first, because of course I thought he might know" "Of course you did". "Which reminds me, my very annoying relative wants my grandmother to throw a dinner party of some kind, you'll get the invitation later" "You're expecting trouble" Sebastian points out "Of course I am, there will be humans and vampires" Flare says "Not to worry about one of them getting a fang near you though, my grandmother has strict rules and let's say one of the vampires invited pissed me off two days ago" she adds with a smile "You're still half human though" Ciel says earning a nod "My great great great grandfather, or was it more... Anyway, the count will be there too, it's a wonder how fast people listen when they realize who your family is" "Looking forward to-" "The queen as well, well not exactly as the queen" Isa says "Great, just great" Ciel mumbles "I am going to assume that there's some elaberate plan for the dinner party" "Who knows, I was just told to invite some people, nothing more".

A week later Ciel arrives with Sebastian, who is impressed with all the guests and he walks off to talk to Isa, leaving Ciel to find his friend "It looks like at least one vampire and human are friends" he says earning a nod "We did that on purpose and not everyone" Flare says "Guess this mean you're my vampire friend" "Guess so". The silence that follows is awkward, until Silviana walks down the stairs "Welcome everyone" she says "There will be no disrespectful behavior tonight, if you attempt to harm someone I don't suggest it as I have people working here who will not hesitate to correct you, that and it seems some guests brought their own servant, Isa will show them their rooms, after dinner you're free to talk to someone and explore the manor, if a door is locked, don't enter it unless needed". Ciel chuckles "That's a clear warning" "Liliana Knight, pleasure to see you again" doctor Blood says "Now I'm convinced there's a grand twisted game" Flare mumbles under her breath "It is good to see you as well" she says with a smile "Next week, same time again?" "Yep, I'll try not to be late, but the weather cannot be controlled" "True". After everyone had dinner everyone goes to do their own thing "Really grandma? You invite the count and his... fiancé, I invite Ciel, like you thought I would and than he shows up" Flare says sitting next to her on a couch "You will figure it out" "I think I already did, why else would you invite a doctor specialized in both humans and vampires?" "To get some of our more shady guests to show their true colors" "I knew it, is anyone going to fill me in?" "The less you know the better" Silviana says "Isa will you accompany me to my room?" Flare asks "Of course, Ciel's retiring for the night as well" "I have some fun books I want to discuss with him". Isa finds Sebastian and the other servants in the kitchen, cleaning up "No one leaves this room until it's sparkling" she says, the sound of rain filling the manor.

At night everyone's woken by a terrible scream and Flare shoots up, dragging Ciel with her "There are children here! How could anyone do this?" someone asks and the two enter the room "Where were you two?" Silviana asks "We fell asleep discussing books" Flare says "I covered them before returning to the kitchen, are we missing someone?" Isa asks scanning the room "I don't think so" Ciel says, but Sebastian points our "Our gentleman in complete black seems absend, I think he was friends with this guy" "He was" Silviana says "Isa, take them back to their room and no one wander alone until we catch whoever did this". Ciel sighs "A murder mystery, why am I not surprised?" he asks "Also why are you visiting doc Blood?" "He's trying to find an alternate way to make me a full vampire, but we don't have any luck yet" Flare explains and when they pass a room both vampires cover their nose "Isa, open the door" Ciel says, inside it's completely dark, but even without night vision Ciel can make out two figures, one letting out a small help while the other doesn't register the audience yet, but when he does he pounces for Ciel, only to be blocked by Flare "I thought it might be you" she says trying to kick the vampire off her and she curses her human side before her eyes start glowing "Get off!" she hisses throwing him to Isa, who has no trouble restraining him "Isa let him go!" Flare yells, so she does, but she's confused "That smell, it wasn't the blood, at least not in my case, one of our guests put a drug for vampires in the drink, usually you can control it if you drink blood regurally, it must've been a human guest with a hatred for vampires" "It'll last a few minutes" Isa explains "But since vampires are well... vampires, a lot can happen in those-", another scream cuts them off and they see the vampire from before "This is gonna be a long few days" Ciel says "Welcome to my house" Flare comments dryly "It might've been in some of the food too, however only the servants..." "Are you alright" Dracula asks seeing the girl and her friend "Yes, but I think one of the servants put something in the food, a vampire was drinking from a vampire, they don't do that unless they're absolutely starving" "I was bringing them to their rooms when dinner was being prepared" Isa says "But one of them trailed off halfway" he said. With the entire chaos it's a wonder anyone can sleep, although Flare is tossing and turning "Flare" someone says shaking her awake "It's alright dear" "This is getting out of hand" Silviana says "It appears you were right, it was put in the food as well, Isa and Sebastian are searching the rooms now" "What does doc Blood have to say about this?" she asks "I cannot find him, he would know a counter for this mess". Flare eventually falls back asleep and Isa looks at Sebastian after scribbling a note "I made a list of all the servants who's room smells like it, take it to Silviana" she says "What about you?" "Well I think I know where our doctor is, make haste Sebastian and I will do the same, the sooner we find a cure the better".
