One thing Ciel noticed when Sebastian had told him that the female reaper was gone was that Flare got stronger, he had talked to the queen, Flare's great grandfather and her grandmother "You should tell her" Sebastian says as the two watch Flare who's reading a book, thanks to Finny she had sprained her ankle and Ciel had forced her to take it easy "When she's healed" Ciel says and the two sweatdrop seeing Flare reach for a book on the top "Sebastian prepare the chess board" Ciel says before walking over to Flare and he picks her up so she can reach the book "Thanks Ciel" she says and the two are startled bt Ronald suddenly entering through the open window "Right..." he says seeing Flare "Have you seen Grell?" he asks and adds "He dumped me with his list, I keep forgetting you're always on it" "No, we haven't seen him" Ciel says and he walks over to check the list "Why is she on it twice?" he asks and Flare limps over "Odd..." she says and shrugs "I'll probably do something stupid like falling of the stairs" she says and walks back to the chair "I hope not" Ciel says following her and Ronald stops him "Treat her wrong and I'll kill you myself" the orange heared reaper whispers and Ciel says "Noted, also I believe my butler found Grell", Sebastian walks in, not at all bothered by the fact Grell is hanging on his leg "The chess board Young Master" he says putting it down and Ronald blinks seeing Flare's name completely disappear "I need to ask William how that works" he says and grabs Grell before leaving again. "Would you like some tea?" Sebastian asks and Ciel nods as he arranges the chess pieces.

The day goes by quickly and Ciel says "I don't want you doing anymore work Flare", this earns him a surprised look "But if you really do want to then I guess you can keeping helping in the garden, but only that" he says and Flare asks "Why?" "Cause I had a chat with several people" is all Ciel says as he stands up and leaves saying "Come on, dinner is probably ready". During dinner Flare is staring at Ciel hoping she can read his mind "Sebastian, find a new servant, a fitting one" Ciel says earning a bow and the demon leaves "Staring at me won't work" the young Earl says bluntly and Flare rolls her eyes "Never hurts to try" she says.

When Sebastian arrives the next morning with a vampire servant Flare starts getting suspicious "Ciel... Why did he bring a vampire?" she asks later in the study and Sebastian is waiting outside with the new servant "For you obviously" Ciel says and he adds "Now, learn to live with it". When Ciel is heading to the Undertaker for some news Flare is out shopping on her own "Hello" she says entering the jewelry store "My charm wore off" she says and the man hands her another one "The queen told me to give you one" he says and Flare puts the necklace on "Had to give my other protective charm to the new servant" she says referring to her bracelet and she asks "Can I get one of those too?" "No need for that Flare" the man says as he heads to the back saying "Thanks for doing business with me". Flare wanders around and she sighs "Get a few new dresses he said, as if it's that easy" she mumbles entering a clothing store and he sees Ciel and Sebastian "Excuse me" she says walking to a nearby employee "I'm looking for dresses" she says and she gets brought to the other section "Hm, red would be perfect" the female says and she hands Flare a red dress with golden flowers on it "Something darker maybe" Flare says. She heads back to the manor when she finishes and she hides a yawn "I'm heading to bed, please tell Ciel I'm in my room once he gets back" she says heading upstairs.

Ciel comes back and he rubs his head "Where's Flare?" he asks and Mey-rin says "She was tired so she went to her room" "Flare and tired?" Sebastian asks earning a nod "You didn't put something in the food didn't you?" Ciel asks "No, the new servant insisted she'd make breakfast" Sebastian says and Ciel sighs heading upstairs "Keep her out of the kitchen then" he says.

When Sebastian goes to wake up Flare the next morning she's gone and he sees a note saying

Hello Sebastian, please don't hire anymore vampires as servants, they hate half vampires like me, come and get me when you decided to fire her

He finds out why when he goes to wake up Ciel and sees another note

Oh yeah, I took Ciel with me for his own protection.

At the Undertaker's Ciel is not happy at all, especially when he hears why "Lord Phantomhive, please calm down and be honest with Flare for once" Undertaker says watching the girl playing with some flowers. "Here" Ciel says handing some files to Flare who quickly reads through them "But how?" she asks and Ciel says "The queen, your great grandfather and your grandmother were all surprised to hear you were alive and well especially the queen, who is surprisingly young I must say and you kinda resemble her" "More advanced vampires can alter their appearance, thus fake their deaths if possible and also pretend to look older" Flare explains like it's nothing "However they can't alter it for more then a few days in a row or it becomes permanent, but what does this have to do with me?" "Flare my dear, you aren't just any half vampire, the reason they hate you is because of you family tree" Undertaker says and Flare stares at the files "You mean that the queen in my family?" she asks earning two nods "But why did my parents hide me?" she asks as tears start to form in her eyes "To protect you" Ciel says.
