Things changed in the mansion, Sebastian actually had genuinely fun teaching Flare everything, as a result his mood improved "No" Flare says looking at Ciel "Which part of no healing abilities didn't you understand?" she asks only to earn a stern look from the demon butler in the room "I understood of course, but you're easy to locate" Ciel says "Plus it's just until further investigation can be done" he adds. "Trust me Ciel, you only need sebastian" Flare says rubbing her head "No, since he has a very annoying reaper following his around and you are perfect since you can pass by reapers" Ciel says, but Sebastian cuts in "Actually since she only is a half vampire she will permanently be on the 'to die' list, the other half is human" "Thank you" Flare says and she smirks "I could do it however, if you come along" she says pointing at Ciel himself who just sighs "Fine, Sebastian prepare some fitting clothes and the carriage" he says and Sebastian bows leaving the room "Why me anyway?" Flare asks earning a wave of his hand, meaning she has to leave, which she does. She passes the three hiding servants and says "Don't be jealous, might die while doing this", they sweatdrop and Mey-rin asks "How did she know we were here? She didn't even look" "No clue" Bard and Finny mumbles before they quickly head of to return to their duties.

At the city Ciel and Flare are walking around, hoping they won't run into Lizzy "Well here it is" Ciel says opening the door and they go in "Ah two young kids, don't see that often" a man reeking of alcohol says nearly giving the two a heart attack "Sadly enough there's only one room left" he adds, but before Flare can say something Ciel says "That's fine, we're used to sleeping in the same room", they see many other kids looking at them "I must say, your friend here has unique eyes" the man says inspecting Flare, who smiles sweetly "My strange eyes are the reason we got kicked out everywhere else" she says, that evening they both skip dinner to investigate, but they found nothing yet "This place is filthy" Flare says and she adds "I'd rather sleep in a coffin then here", Ciel chuckles, but before he can even think of a reply the room is presentable "Better" Ciel says as Flare sits next to him "So... Why me?" she asks and Ciel says "Your eyes are strange and not to mention beautiful, you'd have most chance getting in", Flare blushes as she lays doen on her side and she mumbles "Family trait, well mom was hunted down by demons and they eventually killed her too, my dad was protected by reapers until the angels got to him. However, the reapers couldn't take care of me forever so they put me on the street several years back, then Undertaker found me sitting in front of his shop one rainy night and took me in" "But you don't seem to hate Sebastian" Ciel says earning a shrug "Undertaker told me a lot of good things about you two, though I did do the chores around the shop and I needed food, so we probably never met before because I was out doing things, plus it wasn't a crow that killed my mother, rather a very pesky spider" she says and she hides a yawn, but her eyebrow twitches upon hearing the door getting locked from the outside "No more investigating for us" Ciel says and he adds "We have to be up early tomorrow if we want to do anything at all".

That night however they are woken up by screams "Stay here and cover for me" Flare says using the window to leave, only to come back the same way with an annoyed sigh 5 minutes later "Everyone else is asleep, can't get in anywhere" she says sitting on the bed "Did you notice? There are barely any girls here, that scream too" Ciel says, upon hearing a knock on the door both become quiet "Asleep" a male says opening the door, but Flare rolls her eyes "No we're not" she says as the door opens "Come with us", a female says, so Flare walks over "We thought we heard a scream, seems it was nothing though" Ciel says, as the people turn their back Flare pickpockets the man and takes the room keys, quickly hiding them in an empty plant pot.

Not a minute later Grell appears "Where's Flare? Her name is on the list twice" he asks and Ciel says "Basement I think", Grell runs of and Ciels goes to open the doors of the other rooms. Once everyone is outside Sebastian puts the building on fire "I barely made it out of there" Grell says landing next to the demon butler "They tried killing her so they could take her eyes, which they planned to sell on the black market" he says and looks at Ciel while trowing the guy down "Sebastian hand him over to the Yard, Grell will acompany us back to the mansion since he's already carrying Flare". At the mansion everyone is awfully quiet "What did you do?" Flare asks as Grell puts her down "Nothing" Mey-rin says, but her and Ciel can see right through it "Sebastian, fix whatever mess they made" Ciel says as his butler arrives "What about Flare?" Sebastian asks, but Ciel says "She needs rest, she'll join you with work again tomorrow".

The next morning Ciel is up early to check on Flare and he sees her awake as well "You okay?" he asks and Flare nods as she just finishes braiding her hair "Just tired" she says and she adds "And there's a nasty scar near my left eye" "Let me see" Ciel says walking over "Right, no healing abilities" he mumbles tracing the scar "Really though, next time you ask your butler" she says and Mey-rin walks in "Young Master, Sebastian is worried about you, you weren't in your room" she says and stop dead in her tracks "He was just making sure I'm fine" Flare says and Mey-rin nods before leaving "If you feel too tired later today feel free to go town to visit Undertaker" Ciel says and Flare points to a small pile of clothes "You can't wander around in that" she says and she adds "So I'll help you" "And we have a guest later today, someone claiming to be sn expert on non-human creatures" Ciel says and Flare smiles "Let me show you something then" she says and takes a few steps back and in a puff of black smoke there's a wolf in her place "That's pretty awesome" Ciel sayd as Flare changes back "I learned that with the Undertaker, but let's get you ready for the day" she says with a smile.
