The cold, plastic seat under me, caused shivers to run up my spine. I climbed to the blanket that was around me, fluttering my eyes closed.
Cole had somehow convinced me to come with him to come to D.C. to visit his parents. Apparently he had told them about me, and they liked what they heard so much that they decided to buy us two plane tickets.
Cole and I were currently waiting for the plane to arrive so we could start boarding. It was 3am so I was extremely tired, my head lying on Cole's shoulder.
He twirled my messy hair with his fingers. Even though my eyes were shut, I could feel his eyes on me. His presence gave me a warm feeling, making up for this god damned chair.
Suddenly some lady came over the intercom, announcing our plane had been delayed an hour. Groans were heard throughout the airport.
I opened my eyes, looking up at Cole. I smiled as I saw he was looking down at me.
"Want fries?" He raised an eyebrow.
My eyes lit up, my mood immediately lifting. I smiled innocently, nodding my head like a hold.
He grabbed our carry-ons and we made our way to the airport McDonalds. I ran to a table in the back, where we wouldn't be bothered, while Cole ordered our food.
After about five minutes Cole walked up with a plastic tray, holding two large fries and dipping sauces.
I smiled, watching as he set the tray down in front of us. "I think I'm in love."
"With me?" Cole smirked.
"No you idiot. With the fries." I rolled my eyes, shoving a couple in my mouth and giggling.
A lot of fries later, our plane had arrived. Adrenaline filled my body as I thought of the trip ahead of us.
I was very much excited to meet Coles mother and father, as well as nervous. Not to mention I've never been to D.C.
I sat in the seat by the window, immediately pulling out my laptop and opening Netflix. Cole rolled his eyes as he watched me put in my earbuds, causing me to stick my tongue out and giggle.
I clicked on an episode of Grey's Anatomy, setting my laptop on the tray in front of me and leaning back in my chair.
Cole despised my love for Grey's. Every time we were at one of our apartments, I'd always beg to watch it. Even when we weren't by a tv, id always be ranting about something that happened on a episode.
Somewhere in our hour and a half flight, Cole had fallen asleep. His head laid on my shoulder, my fingers softly between his dark locks of hair.
I giggled as I woke him up, when we landed, drool soaking my shirt and his chin. We grabbed our carry-ons and made our way to baggage claim.
Cole grabbed the two red bags that made their way down the metal spinny thing. He quickly made sure he grabbed the right ones, handing me mine with a kind smile.
"Such a gentleman." I joked, following him to the place his mother was to pick us up.
My heart raced, the thought of meeting Coles parents finally hitting me. I cringed as I looked down at the ketchup stained t-shirt and grey sweatpants I was wearing. If I were to make a good impression, my outfit sure wasn't doing me any favors.
Cole lifted his arm and began to wave at an older women standing across the room. I tried to swallow the thought of her hating me, putting a big smile on my face.
My adidas slides clicked across the airport floor as we squeezed our way through the crowd of frantic people.
My head spun, rushing people bumping into me and kids crying all around me. Cole had my hand in his, leading the way through the now spinning room.
My body felt heavy, along with my breathing. I went to get Cole's attention, my voice coming off weak. "Cole."
"Cole." I spoke again, but this time nothing came out.
And before I could even process what was happening, my body fell limp and my consciousness faded.
I was laying on a dirty airport floor, passed out. Talk about bad first impressions.
