"We're moving to mystic falls!!"

"Wha-what do you mean what about your job? And what about school ?Jake" I say slightly fast and a tiny bit of panic present in my voice looking between the two men confused.

I know it may seem as if I really don't want them around and I'm not excited.

How can I be excited when there is a psycho vampire who wants something we don't have and is more then capable enough to kill my loved one's without hesitation ?

Maybe under different circumstances I would be elated ! But this is not the right time for them to be here.

"I got a job as the deputy and Jake will be going to school with you so please introduce him to your friends and show him around" my dad said pointing to Jake who is beaming

"Well bell now you can move back with me" dad said looking hopeful look and I slightly cringe thinking of a nice way to reject his offer

"Um dad as much as I would love that I can't come and live with you... I moved to mystic falls to get to know my family remember and I think I'm going to stay here until graduation I'm sorry". I say very awkwardly my father looks hurt while Jenna looks very happy shes trying to hide it but she's failing miserably

"When did you dye your hair ? , it's cute " Jake says trying to change the subject and make this encounter less awkward.

Unfortunately he just made me feel slightly uncomfortable and more awkward.

"Feeling spontaneous" I answered they just nodded "well i guess we should get going see you around" i nod and before they walk out the door Jenna stopped them

"There is a masquerade ball happening tonight why don't you guys and bella go together and catch up" she says jenna isn't going because katherine compelled her to stab herself "sure why not what do you say bella? " my dad asked looking hopeful at me

Suddenly someone knocks on the door before I can answer and its caroline and bonnie who came to help me get ready for the ball.

"Hello I'm Caroline and this is Bonnie we're Bella's friends " care says sticking her hand out for my dad to shake , which he does awkwardly.

"Nice to meet you I'm Charlie Bella's dad and this is Jake an old friend of bella"  My dad says looking at care then bonnie

"Jake will you be coming to the ball ? " caroline asked giving him flirty eyes and twirling her hair between her fingers.

Bonnie and I look at eachother with looks of shock and approvement in a way

"Well I don't really have a date so it would be awkward for the new kid to show up and alone at that " Jake says rubbing the back of his neck

"Silly now you have a date ,  me !" Care says and I whisper a small wow and chuckle along with the rest of them

"Well bella it seems like I'm the only one who doesn't have anyone to go with ...so what do you say ?" My dad asks again looking at me with hopeful eyes and all I could do is say "yes why not"

My dads eyes fill with happiness and then he and jake leave

The girls and I go upstairs to get ready. Elena and Stefan broke up and so she'll be in her room sad instead of going to the ball .
