Human-Daughter
•Bailey's POV•
"What do you want?" I looked up at him with cold eyes, taking another drag from my cigarette.
"I just wanted to say hello to my sister." His face dropped but I didn't care.
"I saw the ring on Freya's finger, thanks for 'saying hello to your half sister' then." I scoffed and pushed past him.
"Macy please." I heard him call.
"I'm not Macy." I snapped. "Macy died long ago." I started to walk away again.
"Yo Bails, you forgot your wedges you plank." I heard Lindsay shout, she was getting off at the same time as me.
I turned around to look at her and smiled at her, walking over to her.
"Thanks, Lin." I laughed lightly.
"You still for coming over tonight?" She handed the envelope of money to me.
"Yeah, same time as usual." I smiled again, still looking into her eyes.
"Yup, we're watching Lion King tonight." She tried to contain her excitement. We had a movie night every Friday night since a few weeks after I joined, we bonded over our love for Disney.
"It's so sad." I fake pouted before giggling again.
"Yeah right, I need to go feed and walk Neto but I'll see you later, Bailey." She walked to the opposite side of the area to where I lived, Neto being her labradoodle.
"See you in a later my shizzle." I smiled back at her. Shizzle was something I called her all the time, it was just normal.
"Bailey." I heard Josh's deep voice repeat quietly. "Look, we're having a recording session at the house tonight, you can come if you want to." His eyes were filled with honesty but every bone in my body was screaming for me not to trust him.
"Go back to your meal." I whispered, with all of the hate I had been carrying for years, refusing to make eye contact once more. Not waiting for him to leave, I turned and walked back to my flat.
