Anchor-Novo Amor
•Bailey's POV•
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I couldn't exactly hide the shock I felt when he told me the whole story of how they got into the mess of kidnapping in the first place.
"We didn't want to make up some excuse for what we did to you and three girls before you." He sighed looking down. We moved to the bedroom, I was sat on the floor against the wall and he sat at the end of the bed, also on the floor.
"But now I understand why you did it, not fully, but now I know that you didn't just take me for the fun of it or for money that you didn't need. So every girl that you took was really like me?" I asked in a slightly quiet voice, dropping my eyes down to my
"In some ways, yes, it was easier to get 'people like you' because they were more vulnerable. Sadly, we used that against them and you, we gave them a false sense of security. In a way, it was nice to have someone somewhat dependent on you and your love." JJ answered honestly, that's what I always loved about him, he was the most honest man I knew, he wasn't afraid of the truth.
"How did you get out of it in the end? And why did Cal change his mind so easily?" I asked, focusing my eyes back onto JJ's warm chocolate eyes. Thankfully, I got on with all of the guys, but JJ was who surprised me the most, he felt just as much of a brother as Josh did and comforted me, when he was here, just as much.
"We told the boss that you died when you went to live with Tobi. He died of a brain haemorrhage a few months after you cut ties with us. As for Cal, we sent every girl to his for the first night, he was easier on them. He was mad at first because he thought it wasn't fair that you were getting special treatment but understood when Ethan had a few private words with him." He cleared up all of my questions.
"JJ, Ma-Bailey, your breakfast is getting cold!" Simon yelled up the stairs, I noted him slipping up on my name but ignored it and stood up to leave.
"Wait up." He held unto my still healing arm making me hiss and hastily pull it away. "I saw your arms, um, how are you?" He asked looking down as if he'd done wrong.
"I'm still breathing." I answered shortly, walking out of the room as I pulled my sleeves further down my hands, feeling shameful of my scars.
