Chapter 3:
My alarm clock went off at 6:20am. Today's the first day of school and I am more than nervous. I lay in bed for a while staring at my walls. They weren't pink because we haven't done any painting in the 3 weeks that we've lived here. I got off of my bed and went to wake up Sebastian because I know he's not up. Our bus comes at 7:30 and I know he'll miss it if I don't go get him. The twins and Sean were already up and about getting ready for school. I walked into Sebastian's room and got scared. It was already a mess. "Sebastian get the hell up! It's like 6:30 and you need to get in the shower!" I yell. He turned around in his bed mumbling something. "Get up and why is your room so nasty already? You're such a boy! Get up!" I yell one more time before he finally gets up. "Alright, Skai. Damn, you not my mama!" he yells back. "You better be glad I'm not cause I would've done put you out!" I said before going back into my own room. I took me a nice shower and put on the outfit I picked out last night. It was a hot pink short sleeved shirt with the words "Love Me or Hate Me". I was wearing some Levi jeans and my hot pink sandals. I checked out my look in my body mirror by my dresser. I looked hot. i had curves in all the right places and my boobs weren't too big. It was 7:15 now and I am almost positive that Sebastian is still in his bed. I walked out of my room and went to his room and sure enough he was still in bed. "Ok. That's what you wanna do?" I said walking by his room. I checked to see if the twins were ready. They were already downstairs. My mom had already gone to take Sean to school and then to work. Her job was still an hour away from home. I went downstairs and met Joe eating breakfast that I assume my mom made. The twins had left for the bus already. "Where's Sebastian?" Joe asked. "In bed." I said. Joe looked at his wrist watch. "It's almost 7:20. Your bus gets here in 10 minutes." He said walking toward the stairs. I got some of the eggs and turkey slices and made me a sandwich. At 7:27 I got up from the table and grabbed a juice box from the fridge and a couple of fruit snacks from the pantry. "Good luck, Joe!" I yelled up the stairs as I walked out the door.
At the bus stop, there were like 15 people already chatting it up with each other. I already felt like an outcast. I stood about 10 feet away from the crowd. There was a group of maybe 4 or 5 girls just staring at me. Then one finally came over to me. "Hi, I'm Staci. You must be new here." She smiled. "I'm Skai and yes I'm new." I forced a smile back. "This is Cassidy, Geneva, Ashanti, and Jocelyn." She says pointing to the girls standing behind her. They were all wearing pink. They wore pink from top to bottom and I thought I loved pink. "Hi" I said sheepishly. They wave and smiled all on cue. For some reason, I felt like I was in the movie "Mean Girls" and I was dealing with the plastics. Staci smiled at me and turned around. The other girls followed her. They looked pathetic.
I could see the bus coming so I got happy. The bus stopped almost directly in front of me so I got on first. I heard gasps from nearly every student on the bus and at my bus stop. The bus driver even gasped. "Welcome, you must be new. I'm Miss Greene." The bus driver said with a smirk. I quickly walked to the last seat on the bus. "Yea, she's new everyone." Staci said with a little attitude. I think I just made her mad. Ugh this is already a bad day. Staci sat in a seat next to a boy who was pretty cute from what I saw from when I rushed to the back. She sat really close and tucked her head under his neck so I assumed they were an item. Typical.
When we got to the school, I waited 'til almost everyone was off the bus to get up. The cute boy Staci was sitting with was still on the bus. I was about to walk past him when he gently grabbed my arm. "Hey, don't mind Staci. She just likes to be the first one on and off the bus." He said to me. "Oh. Ok." I said shyly. "I'm Anthony, by the way." He smiled and put out his hand to shake mine. I shook his hand, told him my name and smiled. I got off the bus and went in the same direction as everyone else. I saw all the different types of cliques there were. I saw the jocks, the nerds, and of course the plastics. I saw some kids I would call undefined. I laughed to myself. I looked at my homeroom paper and map to figure out where I needed to go for homeroom. I finally found it and walked in. I sat in the third seat in the 4th row. I watched everyone walk in and noticed one of the girls from my bus stop. She was still staring me down. I think her name was Jocelyn.
