I put a hand to her cheek as her blue eyes looked up at me in terror. The silver tape covered her soft, pink lips and I had to remind myself she was a screamer to stop from taking it off to kiss them.
I will never forget their softness on my own lips though.
"It's alright, you're not alone." I said, my thumb wiping the smudged eye make-up away from under her eye. Her breath was fast and jagged. "Shhh, Liss, you're not the first, and I feel you won't be the last." I leaned down and kissed her forehead. She tried to wriggle away, but she had nowhere to go, nowhere but further back into the wet dirt.

I hadn't planned for this so soon; the move had set me off my timeline, but it didn't matter. Everyone had believed the note Elissa had left on her bed. I was just sad to be saying goodbye this soon.
"You tried, and I almost thought it was going to be ok, but, you just aren't good enough."
She muffled two syllables behind the gag. My name? His name? A desperate plea?
Did it matter? Not really.
"The first one wasn't either, but he was easier to get rid of. Allergies..." I shook my head and pressed my lips together.
She was still wearing the light blue playsuit she had put on for the date, but now it was dark, dirty and wet; clinging to her athletic figure from the wetness.
Her legs were taped from ankles to knees, covered her beautifully shaped calves. I could feel her thighs trying to throw me off, uselessly struggling.
"Liss..." I shook my head, and pushed her back further into the mud. Thunder rolled somewhere in the distance. "I'm sorry." I really was too, but nobody could take my place, and nobody would ever be good enough for him.
Her short brown hair was lacquered to her head from the mud as she sank into the hole. Her arms were the only things stopping her from sinking smoothly. I'd taped them behind her, wrist to elbow, but now they were a nuisance, and she kept shifting side to side, her shoulders lifting her out of the shallow trench I had dug for her.

I'd filled the grave with enough water to secure her down, not completely bury her though. I could feel her taped legs sinking, being surrounded, and swallowed by mud. She didn't need to completely be submerged I was going to enjoy imagining her helplessness as she was trapped.
I tilted my head and put my hands on her shoulders.
A flash of lightening lit up the sky, it wasn't even dark yet, and the brightness shocked me. Rain started to pour then, as if the lightning had flicked a switch on in the sky above.
It wasn't just light rain either; I could feel the heavy, fat drops soaking the back of my shirt. A smirk crossed my lips.
"Well, this works out better than I had planned." I laughed gently. The rain started to pool in the hole, it ran down the sides, mixing with dryer parts of the dirt walls. The mud got thinner around her legs, but the puddle got deeper, I could feel us both getting surrounded by a small lake of water.
"I'll have to leave you sooner than I expected, or we'll both be buried here together." I chuckled. Her struggling became more frantic. The rain started to wash the dirt off her face, her soft skin was so... I put my hand back on her cheek, cold. She tried to swing more, her movements just swashing more water and dirt around us, burying her arms deeper into the hole.

The rain was making the mud behind her softer and she was only sinking further down with her struggles. More frantic cries came from behind her tape.
I leaned down over her and kissed her collarbone, it had always been my favourite part of her. She nearly tossed me off with a sudden rough thrashing of her upper body, her shoulder slammed into my jaw and I tasted blood.
I jerked back and my hands closed around her neck. "You always were a bitch though." I snarled, tightening my grasp, her chest moved quickly, her eyes wider than I'd ever seen.

Those piercing blue eyes...

Hey Guys, Gals & Everyone Reading!

I haven't been writing for a while, so I feel really out of practise in the whole character development and plot building and well, EVERYTHING!

You can possibly tell how hard the first few chapters were! If not, yay for me and now you know, it'll be blindingly obvious!

I'm writing this little note because I really WANT feedback on the characters and where the story is going.

Who do you like the most?
Who makes you feel uncomfortable?
What do you think is in store for our Wheeler Fallers?

Which Taylor do you suspect and what is this deadly secret?

I am DYING for some reader thoughts!

Do I that word used too often?

Is this part confusing?

Does this clash with who you thought that character was?

Are these teens too un-teeny? It's been a while since I was a teen, or communicated with high schoolers, I mean, what do teens do these days?!

Wheeler Falls is based along The Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia, so if you're international and things seem odd, that's possibly why!

We can't get our license until we're 18, but that is also our legal drinking age.

At 16 we get our Learner's Permit, but have to drive with a licensed driver at all times.

It would mean this world to me for comments and feedback from you lovely readers!

TIA,

Artie Karee
