Chapter 5: The Mikaelsons

*Nelly's P.O.V.*

Today is Friday and there is a lacrosse game. Stiles invited me to come watch. He said that he would be sitting on the bench for the whole game, but I could come sit with him. I, of course, said yes. Who wouldn't?

"Nelly! Over here!" Stiles was jumping and waving.

"I'm coming," I told him.

I walked to the bench and sat down next to him. The game started and Scott was running with the ball. He did a flip over someone and dodged everyone in his way. How did he do that? I don't think that's humanly possible for a high schooler.

Jackson noticed that Scott was getting all the attention, so he tried to steal the ball from Scott. Liam kept Jackson away from Scott as long as possible. Scott passed the ball to Tyler, then Tyler passed it to Stefan. Stefan ran toward the goal and dodged someone. He threw the ball to Scott and Scott made the goal. Someone with blonde hair came to the game late. On the back of his jersey, it said 'Lahey 14'.

"Lahey, get your butt in the game right now!" Coach yelled.

Lahey ran into the game and tackled someone who was coming for Liam.  Coach seemed really happy with this game.

Allison, Aphrodite, and Lydia came to the game. They made their way to the back of the bleachers. Coach told Aphrodite to hurry up and get in the game. She had her jersey and gear on. Coach passed her a lacrosse stick and she ran in.

Someone on the opposite team tried tackling her and he fell to the ground first. Ooh, bad mistake, pal. Scott, Liam, Stefan, Tyler, and that guy Lahey made all the goals. Jackson tried, but they had all teamed up against him. What happened to sharing is caring? They did all the hard work, while Aphrodite just tackled people. She even tackled some guy who was way taller than her.

Behind me, I heard familiar voices. It sounded like...the Mikaelsons. What are they doing here? I turned around and saw four of them: Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, and Kol.

"Hello sweetheart," Klaus said as he moved down the bleachers and sat next to me. Stiles looked at him, confused.

"Hey, Klaus," I said. "Why are you here?"

"What? I can't just enjoy a simple game of lacrosse with my family? Who made that law?"

"You can't enjoy a 'simple game of lacrosse' because you always want something in return."

"Well, indeed you're right."

"We just need your help with something important," Elijah explained.

"You know I respect you, Elijah, but coming to school just to ask for my help is not the way to get me to help you and you know it," I said.

"It's Katerina. She's alive."

"Well, this game is getting boring, eh? Why don't we spice things up?" Kol said.

"Don't do anything to attract attention, Kol," Elijah said.

"Too late," Rebekah said.

I saw Kol go to Aphrodite and push her onto the ground. She jumped back up and her eyes were glowing purple. What is she?

Everyone was staring at the two of them and it seemed like her eyes were back to normal. Stefan started compelling everyone to forget what they saw. Elijah joined in to help.

"What is going on?" Stiles asked.

I looked into his eyes and compelled him to forget everything except that we had won the lacrosse game. After compelling everyone, Klaus and Elijah brought me to their new mansion.

"Would you like some Scotch or Bourbon?" Elijah asked me.

"No thanks. I don't drink." I paused. "How is Katherine still alive? I thought she died after trying to take over Elena's body."

"That's what we thought too, until she came to visit me last night," Elijah explained.

"She told him about how she framed Kol for murdering that girl in the woods because a mysterious benefactor is paying her to kill supernaturals. She brought him the list of people he was going to send her to kill and all of us are on that list," Klaus said.

"She was warning me to leave so she wouldn't have to kill me, but I told her I couldn't leave without my family and friends," Elijah explained a little bit more.

"Well, we're going to have to find the benefactor and take him down. Do you have the list with you?"

"Yes. It's right here." Elijah handed me the list and I looked it over until I came to some familiar names: Scott McCall, Lydia Martin, Malia Tate.

"Do you know what type of supernatural creature each person on this list is?" I asked.

"Of course, I did my research," Klaus answered.

"Do you know what these ones are?" I asked as I pointed to the familiar names.

"Scott McCall is a true alpha, basically a werewolf who earned the right as alpha. Lydia Martin is a banshee. Malia Tate is a were-coyote," Klaus stated.

How am I going to tell Scott that I know what he is?

"Can you protect Scott and his pack?" I asked.

"Anything for a friend," Elijah said.

"Thank you so much."

So, basically Katherine is a new vampire hunter in Beacon Hills because she's getting paid by the benefactor. Didn't expect that, right? There are more mysteries coming your way if you stay tuned.
