Chapter 19: Saving Hope

This is Amanda Arcuri. Her character's name is Hope Lakes, yes I know it's a lame name. Oh hey that rhymes! Here's a description of Hope. She's not Klaus's daughter! But she is a new vampire! She had a pretty easy life, but her life got harder. She had a secret life partying! She was rich so she hired someone to do her homework. When it comes to testing she would skip the school day and ask someone what the answers were so she could rock the test the next day. She's also a freshman, and used to be best friends with Katie. One night after partying she was drunk, and was offered a ride. That ride changed her life and she can't go into the sun. She has these weird cravings and ever since that night strange animal attacks been happening. One night on the last animal attack Hope went missing.

Aphrodite's P.O.V
It's only 3:58 A.M I got home at 9:30 P.M. I was glad because it was easy to fall asleep, but I keep hearing chains and I also hear my Nana and Gerad. It's been weird lately. I think it's a little fishy that they're getting married. I focus to what they're saying. "Get her over there, careful not to wake up Delphyne and Aphrodite." I hear a grumpy voice saying. I can't recognize if it's a Nana or Jared. Who's her? I was thinking so hard that my brain gave up and I fell asleep.
6:47 A.M
I finished getting ready and I had to go to to the bus stop in 20 minutes. My Nana and Jared were doing some "errands", and my mom had to go to work early. I decided to snoop in my Nana's room. I tried to open the door, I slammed it lightly but it won't open! Why was it locked? I put my ear on the ear and focused. I couldn't hear anything just silence. I went to turn on the TV. I have a feeling someone is missing and my grandmother is responsible for it.

BREAKING NEWS!
14 year old Hope Lakes is officially missing. Since Thursday she hasn't been seen at school but she's seen at night. Until Saturday where she was nowhere to be seen at anytime. Security footage shows Wednesday night she was picked up by a white van, but no luck of license plate. And Saturday she was gone the whole day! Security footage shows Sunday she was taken by red van with no license plate. Where is she now? We need your help. If anyone finds her please call this number.

Aphrodite's P.O.V
I shut off the TV and I noticed the bus was gonna come any minute. I ran to the bustop and luckily I made it in just in time. I was stunned about what I heard. I wanted to skip school but I don't want my Grandmother to be suspicious of me. The bus comes and I was the last person to go on. I saw Liam talking to his friends. I decided to sit on my own because I needed some time to think. I feel like my grandmother would do something like this. She never loved me, I felt like I was evil to her. She would call me a disgrace, but that was when my mom was not around. I closed my eyes and focused. I then saw a memory of a shed. Ugh, it was useless. What does a shed have to do with anything? The bus stops and everyone gets up. I was one of the first few to leave. I see Liam still talking to his friends. I was mad at him, know your probably wondering why I'm mad at him. He lied to me, I found out yesterday that my eyes glow purple. I know they know, because one time in a party Liam mentioned purple eyes. I've always asked them if they have any clues about me. I was so angry, I didn't realized where I was going. All of sudden I feel a push. "Your eyes!" Theo says. I look at Theo and realize I was in the bathroom. I look in the mirror and my eyes are still glowing purple. "You can't go to school with your eyes glowing." Theo says. I tried to make it stop. "I can't stop it," I say. "I have to get out of here." I say as I rush to the door. The door opens and Liam comes in. He realizes that me and Theo are here. Liam jaws clenches, I guess my eyes aren't glowing again. "Theo was just telling me about my purple eyes, hmm something you didn't tell your girlfriend." I say with a remark. Theo looks at me as he was about to say something, I leave. I felt bad for Liam, I noticed I was being cruel. But now it's not the time, I have to save Hope. I head to nurse office. I told them I wasn't feeling good and they said I can rest. I tried to focus, ever since yesterday I've been trying to find my other powers. As I was focusing I fell asleep. I look at the shed, and I looked around. This is my grandmother's house. I see my young self playing around. Then I noticed the shed, and it started shaking. My young self goes to it. As I was about to open it my grandmother yells at me. She slaps me and says I'm too young to learn anything. I wake up, and Nelly was there. "Come on, I know where Hope is!" I say. I grab her hand and sneak through the window. Nelly grabs me a we jump down. "We need to go to my house," I said. My grandmother and Jared weren't gonna be back until a few hours. I decided to check my shed. Nelly grabs me and she uses her super speed. We finally get there. Nelly grabs the lock of the shed and she screams in pain. Her hands turn red,"Wolfsbane and vervain!" Nelly says in pain. Her hands were still burning. I grab the lock and tried to pull it off with all my power. It almost broke, Nelly was looking around for something to help. Nelly came back with a key. She passes it to me, I hear a gun shot. I stopped and turn around. Nelly looks at me and BOOM a gun shot. Jared and Nana was there with guns. My grandmother chuckles, "Oh Aphrodite, I've always hated you. But now I'm just proud of you! You walked into your own death." She chuckles. Before they came I luckily had enough time to unlock the shed. "I will finally have your power!" She yells happily. "I think we should kill this one first," Gerad recommended. "You're right," my grandmother says. I looked up to see the clouds blocking the sun. I whispered to Nelly,"Run." I opened the shed door and Nelly runs. Hope comes out and attacks Gerad, I pushed my grandmother and I took the gun. Gerad was screaming in pain. I pointed to gun to my grandmother, "KILL ME! AND ENJOY THE CURSE YOUR DISGRACE OF A FATHER GAVE YOU!" She yells. I didn't realize what my grandmother said but I wanted her to feel the pain I felt with her. I pulled the trigger but before the bullet came out I was pushed. The bullet hit the tree. I see Grayson and my mom taking my grandmother and Gerad to the shed. I look behind me to see Liam behind me. He looks sad, "I saw you and Nelly leave and decided to follow you." He explains. I look at the gun, I almost killed my grandmother. I start to cry, Liam sits there and comforts me. I guess Nelly took Hope, because neither of them were around. Liam takes me to my bedroom, and my mom told me she and Grayson are gonna talk to hope. I sat on my bed looking at the mirror. Maybe I am a disgrace, I am a curse. I look at Liam, he knows I'm looking at him but he doesn't look back at me. "Liam, Theo and I did nothing together, he just told me my eyes were glowing." I said to him. "I should've told you, but Scott told me not to. But since we're talking, you predicted the benefactor. And you scream, but when you scream it hurts." He explains. Why couldn't I remember it. I then heard this ringing loud scream, I fell to the ground and Liam went to catch me. I was deep in pain. I saw a memory of the benefactor and me. I burst into tears. Liam was there. "I'm sorry." I say. Liam apologized too. He picks me up bridal style and he puts me on the bed. He takes of his shoes and he goes into the bed. "I'll be here with you through the dark times." He says.

Hope Lakes P.O.V
"I don't know!" I say in fear. They started asking me who turned me. I really don't know who turned me. I didn't even know that I was a vampire! When they left to get me more blood. I break the wooden chair and put it through my heart. I wouldn't have to be a disgrace no more and I wouldn't hurt more people.
