On my way to Lana's, my phone rang. Bailey. "Hi Tia, sorry for if this is not a good time to call, I am just worried about Lana. She hasn't been returning my calls lately. I would want to come over and talk to her, maybe ask her if anything's wrong." Here goes the complicated Lana problem again. I pressed a button on my phone to put it on loud speaker while I drive.

"I am on my way there, Bailey. If you want I can ask her for you?" I offered.

"Oh shoot. Can I come? I called in sick tonight so I don't have to go to work until next week." She asked.

"Uhm. I am not sure about that. If she is not taking your calls, there's a fat chance she doesn't want to talk to you. I think it would be better if you let me do it first and then I will inform you on what she's going to say about it." I explained.

"Oh. You think so?" She countered.

"I very much thought so."

"Okay. I am just really worried, you know? I thought we were okay the last time we were together. We met someone at the club and she was friendly. You don't think Lana's jealous, are you?" Bailey fussed.

"I am not sure of that Bailey. We cannot assume this early. I can only suggest that we wait until I hear what Lana has to say. Keep your calm Bailey. I can sense the stress coming from you through the phone." I laughed at that trying to imagine Bailey all stressed and worried over Lana. This girl really had it going for my friend though. I cannot say I don't like it but she has to chill.

I heard her as she took a deep breath, calming her nerves.

"As you say, Tia, as you say." Bailey finally said.

As I parked my car I saw Lana coming out of the door. She must be off to somewhere. Too bad I didn't announce that I am coming. It is Friday night. I thought I was expected. I flashed my headlights at her as she walked by covering the blare with her arms.

"Tia!" She shouted.

I put my head out my window, "Yeah, I'm here. Where are you going? It's Friday night. Shouldn't we be hanging out tonight? Are you on your way to my house?" She stopped in her tracks and gawked at me. "Hello? Friday night? Does it ring a bell? Or are you still confused with the days? No work tomorrow, honey." I kidded.

She walked around and got on the passenger side. "I'm sorry. I must have forgotten that it is Friday. I am on my way to Succubus. Do you remember that bar?" She asked. I noticed the way she dressed up tonight. She was wearing a plain white shirt with a leather jacket on, her black boots tucking the edge of her skinny black jeans.

Ignoring her question, I asked her, "Who's buried there? You look like you are going to a wake."

"You introduced me to that bar back in college, remember? I met some friends there, one of them is Rima, the one we came across in the bar the last time?" She continued. Ignoring my jibe.

"The one with a jealous girlfriend?"

"Well yeah, but she was hardly jealous. Maybe a bit threatened, but not jealous, okay?" She clarified.

"Okay. So, are you bringing me there with you or are you going to leave me here?"

"You can come with me if you want to." She said after a second.

"And if I don't?" I joked.

"Well, you have to drive me there because I am meeting with some friends." She casually answered.

"Does that mean you are ditching me on this Friday night because of some friends? Am I not a friend to you? Lana, I am your best friend." I continued.
