Lauren's POV

*Knock Knock*

"Mom I'm up alright?!" I say as I roll over onto my stomach. Today was the first day of hell in Canada. By hell, I mean high school. It doesn't help that I'm being thrown into it in the middle of the first semester. I mean, at least school's only been in session for a month and it's not the middle of the year. I look at the clock. "5:45" I moaned as I slowly started to get out of bed. I walked out of my room to see my mom standing there with her arms crossed. "What?" I asked, still half asleep.

"You're such a teenager." She said laughing as she headed downstairs. I rolled my eyes and walked to the bathroom. I turned on the shower and turned to look at myself in the mirror.

'You can do this Lauren' I said to myself. Once the shower warmed up, I got in and almost fell asleep on the wall. After about 15 minutes I got out and headed back into my room. None of my clothes had been really unpacked yet, so I started going through the boxes. I pulled out my navy blue skater dress and smoothed it down over my body. Normally I don't like to wear tight clothing, but this dress was my favorite. Along with the dress I threw on my white high top converse and headed back into the bathroom to do my makeup and hair.

"Lauren you ready to go?" My mom called up to me.

I looked in the mirror and was pleasantly satisfied with myself. My long red curls popped against the navy blue dress, and with my hipster glasses and white converse, I would say I looked put together. "Coming!" I said as I grabbed my backpack from my room and headed downstairs.

The school was huge, I mean there was no way I was going to find my way around this place. "Um excuse me?" I said walking up to a boy in the hallway. "Do you know where I can find the office?"

The boy turned around, looked me up and down and smiled. "Yeah I do. In fact," he said looking back at his friends, "why don't I take you there myself." Before I could object, he was pulling my arm, dragging me to the office.

"Um, excuse me?" I said, motioning to my arm, which was still in his grip.

"Oh, sorry." He said laughing. "I'm Mason, by the way. I'm guessing you're new because I haven't seen you around." He said smiling cheekily. "And I would've remembered."

I let out an awkward laugh and continued to look straight as I said, "Yeah. I'm new, just moved here from New York. I'm Lauren." I said flashing a smile. I'm not going to lie, Mason was incredibly cute. He was tall and tan and had light chestnut brown hair that was spiked at the front. Tiny freckles covered his nose and cheeks and his emerald green eyes were just gorgeous.

"Lauren?" I heard someone say. I turned around to see Shawn rushing toward Mason and I. He caught up to us and I guess we were stopping to talk to him. "What are you doing here?"

"Going to school. Just like you." I said.

"Wait, you two know each other?" Mason asked with a confused look.

"Well I wouldn't say we know each-"

"Lauren spilled coffee on me in New York." Shawn said laughing. My god he was never going to let me live this down, and I hardly knew the kid!

"Wait, you're the infamous coffee spiller?" Mason asked with a smile.

Feeling sassy as always I curtseyed and said, "The one and only." Mason and Shawn continued to talk while I just stood there awkwardly. As I stood by the boys, I was surveying the crowd. At least 20 girls shot me dirty looks and whispered as they walked by me. I looked down at my outfit, wondering if there was anything wrong with it. I couldn't see anything. "Hey guys, real sorry about this, but I kind of need to find the office still."
