Ok sorry for the long wait....but heres an update :)

Lauren's POV:
I waved goodbye to Mason as he backed out of the driveway. God he was so cute. I turned around and stared at the house. Miranda's house. I took a deep breath as I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell.
Miranda came over to the door. "Oh it's you." And she walked away towards the living room.
"Well who were you expecting?" I said with an attitude. I dont know but something about her just got me angry. Maybe it was because of what she did to Mason, or maybe because she was dating Shawn. No, no, no it's definitely not because she's dating Shawn.
"Nevermind. Who drove you here anyway?" She asked.
"Mason. Oh and if you dont believe me feel free to call him and ask."
"Wow that boy must be so desperate if he's stooping down to your level." She huffed as she continued to play on her phone.
"Excuse me? If anything I'm a step up from the low class hoe he used to date. I can't even believe what you did to him you're such a -"
"Miranda! Who's your new friend?" A woman, I'm guessing Miranda's mom, said as she walked into the living room.
All of a sudden, Miranda put on the fakest smile I had ever seen. "Oh this is Lauren. She just moved here from New York earlier this week."
"It's so nice to meet you," I said shaking her mom's hand, "Miranda and I are just working on an english project."
"Oh ok so sorry to bother you! Dont work too hard girlies." She said smiling as she headed up the stairs.
"Your mom is really nice." I said, trying to be nice to her.
"Thanks." she said, quietly. We sat there in silence, when all of a sudden we both started talking. "You first." Miranda said.
"Miranda, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. Ok nothing happened and if you just let me explain then I know you wont be so mad at me and-"
"I know nothing happened." She said.
"What do you mean?"
"I know nothing happened between you two. I just wanted a reason to be mad at you." She didn't make eye contact with me.
"Can I ask why?"
"To be completely honest I'm jealous of you. You're stunning and I think Shawn has a crush on you, well not really a crush, but he definitely finds you attractive. I hate that you've moved into his neighborhood and have started a friendship with him because I'm used to being the only girl in his life. And the fact that Mason is fawning over you too? Yeah it's not fair. I knew I couldn't hate you for just being his friend, so I needed another reason, and when this whole picture thing came up, I found the chance I needed and made a little scene."
"Well that's an understatement." I said laughing.
"ANYWAY I thought that by throwing a fit that Shawn would come running after me and confess his love for me like he usually does, but did that happen? No, it didnt. And it really scares me." She was almost in tears now.
"Listen Miranda," I said hesitantly moving onto the couch with her, "I think this is something you need to talk to Shawn about. I know it may not be easy, but one of the most important aspect of a relationship is honesty and if you cant be honest with him about this, then that's a problem." I said, trying my best to comfort her. I know we're nowhere close to being friends, but I felt kind of good that I was helping her.
"I'm just really bad with guys and I always mess things up." She said finally looking me in the eyes. "I just don't know how to approach it."
"Well, I feel like you just need to come out and say it. The longer you wait to tell him, the longer you'll avoid it." I say as I start to gather up my stuff.
"Wait where are you going?" Miranda asked, getting up from the couch.
"I'm going home because someone else is going to come here when I leave."
"You're actually right, for once," she said laughing to herself, "Listen, thanks a lot Lauren. I'm sorry for anything I said that offended you."
"Oh don't worry about it." I said, with a smile. "We'll work on this another time. Good luck." I said as I walked out the door. I pulled out my phone and called Mason.
"What did the devil do to you now?"
"Nothing! I hate to ask this, but can you come pick me up and bring me home?"
"Turn around." He said. I spun around to see Mason's pickup truck coming down the road.
"How did you get here so fast?" I asked running to the car.
"I never left. You never said how you were getting home, so I kind of waited." He said as the car came to a stop.
"Well, don't I feel special." I said getting into the passenger side.
"How'd everything go in there?" He asked looking at me.
"Surprisingly, it actually went well."

Shawn's POV:
I looked out my window to see Lauren getting out of Mason's truck. What was going on between them? I was kind of curious, so I ran down the stairs and out the door to catch Lauren before she went inside. I guess she heard me coming because she turned around and waved.
"Hey." I said walking over to her.
"Hey." She said looking at the ground.
"Listen, I'm sorry about what happened to day. I just, I dont really know what to do with Miranda and I kind of took my anger out on you." I said.
"Wow, two people in one day. How lucky am I." She said with sarcasm. I looked at her weirdly and she continued, "I went over to Miranda's house to try to work on our project and well, she kind of confessed her hatred for me, but in the end it was all ok."
"Oh, that's good." I said. "What did she tell you?"
"Sorry but that's for her to tell you." She said as she started to walk away.
"I think I'm going to break up with her." She stopped dead in her tracks and spun arounf to face me. There was distress in her eyes and something was wrong.
"Shawn, please dont."
"Why not? It's my relationship and I can do what I want with it." I said, crossing my arms. Why was I even telling her this? Did I think that she was going to be for the idea?
"Listen Shawn, just please listen to what she has to say before you make any decisions. I know me and her don't really mesh well together, but she told me some things and I think she really cares about you. I mean she cares about you more than she did Mason but-"
"Wait what about Mason?" I asked curiously.
"That's not the point. Nevermind. Just please don't break her heart because it will not go over well I can tell you that."
"Whatever." I said walking away from her.
"All I was trying to do was save you from making a stupid mistake. Sorry for caring." She said as she started walking into her house.
"Shit." I said to myself as I walked into my house. That sure went over real well. I sat on my bed with my face in my hands. 'Sorry for caring' kept replaying over and over in my head. What did that mean? Did she care about me as a friend or as more of a friend? I wanted to know what she was thinking so badly. There was one thought that circulated in my head for the rest of the night.
Am I only breaking up with Miranda so / can be with Lauren?
"Yes" I said silently to myself.
