Lauren's POV

Throughout the duration of the class, I couldn't help but to be bothered by all the death glares that were coming towards me. "Pst." I said to Mason.

"What?" He whispered back to me, leaning in.

"Why is everyone staring at me?" I asked nervously.

Mason looked around and noticed a few girls looking in my direction. "They're probably just jealous of you." He said smiling.

"No I'm serious!" I said, lightly punching his bicep, which was very nice and toned by the way.

"So am I." He said as he leaned back to his seat. I sat in the chair with a smile on my face.

All of a sudden, the bell rang, causing me to snap out of the day dream I was having. "Well that was fun." I said as I stood up and threw my backpack over my shoulder.

"Hey where's your next class?" Shawn asked. I handed him my schedule and studied it for a bit. "We have next period together too. Do you want me to take you there?"

"Mhm." Mason said, coughing behind Shawn.

Shawn looked at Mason and then back at me. "Actually, Mason has offered to take you if that's cool."

"Yeah, thats great." I said smiling as we walked out of the classroom.

"Shawn wait up!" I heard a girl yell from inside the classroom. A tall, pale blonde girl with wavy hair came up next to us and gave Shawn a hug. "What did you forget about me or something?" She said giving him a kiss on the cheek. I noticed the girl from class. She was one of the many girls who was staring me down, and now I guess I know why.

"Oh no, uh- of course not babe." Shawn said putting his arm around her shoulder.

"Hey Mason!" the girl said. She looked at me and then back at him, "This your new toy?"

"Excuse me wh-" I started to say, but was cut off by Mason.

"No, Miranda. This is Lauren, she just moved here from New York."

"Well that hasn't stopped you before." She said back to him.

"Miranda!" Shawn said, taking his arm off of her shoulders. This was a really awkward situation and I really didn't want to be apart of it. He walked over to me and said, "I'm really sorry about her," I was going to say something back, but he walked towards Miranda and said, "Can I talk to you?" And with that, the two walked away, leaving Mason and I in the hallway.

"Well that was sufficiently awkward." I said letting out a sigh.

"Yeah, I'm really sorry about that," Mason said looking at me as we walked down the hallway, "she just, she just gets really jealous really easily."

"But why would she be jealous?" I asked again.

"Let's just say that I dont think a lot of girls would be too happy if their boyfriend walked in late to class with a girl that looks like you." He said as we walked into the classroom.

Shawn's POV

"My god Miranda what was that?" I asked her.

"What was what?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
