Shawn's POV:

"Shawn, listen I hope everything is alright, but it's kind of late.  I'll call you tomorrow, okay?" Miranda said groggily into the phone.

"No, Miranda, I have to talk to you now.  Listen-" I said as I looked out my window.  All of a sudden, headlights shone down the street and the car pulled into Lauren's driveway.  It wasn't just any car though, it was Mason's car.  What was Lauren doing out with Mason this late? Why was Mason hugging her goodnight?

"Hello?" Miranda yawned into the other end.  I had completely forgotten that she was on the other end.

"Oh, sorry.  Yeah I'll call you tomorrow." I replied.  I couldn't bring myself to get away from the window, just watching Mason drive away and watching Lauren walk to her door.  I can't believe that Lauren would go out with Mason the same night we, you know, had our moment.  I knew I shouldn't have been jealous because Mason told me just how much he liked her, but I couldn't help it.  Was she trying to make me jealous? Was that why she went out with him tonight? No, that's not her, but for all I know it could be.

I mean I know almost absolutely nothing about this girl, but at the same time I feel like I know everything about her.  I kept my gaze towards Lauren, until she turned around and waved. It wasn't to Mason, but to me. I embarrassingly waved back and immediately went over to my bed.  Shit now she knows I was watching her.  How much more embarassing can this situation get.

Lauren's POV:

Of course Shawn would still be awake.  As I snuck back into my house, a new wave of guilt flew over me.  Yes, the whole time I was with Mason I couldn't stop thinking about Shawn, so I felt guilty for spending time with Mason.  Now I feel even more guilty because Shawn actually saw me with him.  I shouldn't feel this way.  I mean, we did agree to be just friends.

I made it upstairs without getting caught, and went over to my window.  Shawn's light was still on in his room.  I had to talk to him before I went to bed if I wanted any sense of relief.  I dialed his number, but it just kept ringing.  I went back over to the window and when I reached voicemail, the light in Shawn's room turned off.

I had barely gotten any sleep because I just couldn't fall asleep lat night.  Was Shawn mad at me? I mean if he was I wouldn't blame him.  I acted like a slut last night and I'm not proud of it.  I had to make things right with Shawn, but I doubt he'll answer any of my calls.  This was something I had to do in person.  I literally put on the same outfit I wore last night, I just changed my sweatshirt.  Skinny jeans, converse, sweatshirt, a girl could never go wrong.  I decided to put my hair in a messy braid and put on a little mascara, just because I didn't want to look completely ratchet.

I ran down stairs and went to the front door.  "Woah, where are you going?" My mom called after me.

"Oh, um, Aaliyah wanted me to hang out with her today, so I'm going over to her house."

"No you're not." My mom said crossing her arms.  Shit.  She found out that I snuck out last night.

"Listen, mom please I promised her and I'm sorry that-" I started.
