Lauren's POV

"Let it go! Let it go!...." My alarm went off.  Don't get me wrong I love Frozen, but not this early in the morning.  I picked up my phone and saw a message from my mom. 'I had to leave early and didn't want to wake you, have a good day at school and I hope to see you when im home' .  I rolled my eyes and got out of bed.  I went to start the shower, when I heard a knock on the door. Out of it, I walked down the stairs and opened the front door.  

"Hey Lauren woah-" I heard a voice say.  I rubbed my eyes and saw Shawn standing right in front of me.  I looked down at what I was wearing to find myself in an oversized tshirt with only my underwear on underneath.

"Oh shit!" I said running behind the door so that only my head was visible.

"Uh, I'm sorry," Shawn said blushing, "It's just that I wanted to see if you needed a ride to school?" He was looking at the ground to avoid eye contact with me.

"Yeah, that'd be great. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to get pants on." I said.

"Um, ok yeah, you do that.  I'll pick you up at 7:15." He said backing away from the door awkwardly.

"Ok bye." I said fast as I slammed the door.  I hit myself on the head as I ran up the stairs and got in the shower, rushing to get ready now.

7:15 rolled around and Shawn pulled up in the driveway.  I grabbed everything I needed and ran out the car.  I got in and could automatically tell that it was going to be an awkward ride. "Hi." I said as I slid into the passenger seat.

"Hey." Shawn said, not making eye contact.  We drove in silence. "Do you want some music?" Shawn asked, i nodded my head and he turned on the radio.  Say Something by A Great Big World came on. 

"I love this song." I said, trying to break the awkward silence. 

"Same." He said.  We sat there listening to the music.  I leaned my head against the window and started humming along to the lyrics.  I could hear Shawn singing quietly, and it sounded beautiful.  I've always wanted to hear Shawn sing in person, and well, I guess this is what it's like.  I must've subconsciously started singing because Shawn said, "You're really good."

"Wha- me? Oh no I dont sing." I said.  I could feel my face getting red.

"No really, I'm not kidding." He said, actually flashing me a smile.

"Listen Shawn, about this morning-" 

"I didn't see anything." Shawn said, implying that nothing had happnened.

"Agreed, ok good.  What are we talking about?" I said letting out a small, awkard laugh.

"I don't know you tell me." He said smiling.  We pulled into school and got out of the car.  As we got out of the car, people started laughing.

"Way to go Shawn." A couple of boys said, giving him approving looks.

"What are they talking about?" I asked nervously.

"I don't know.." Shawn said nervously.  We continued to walk through the parking lot and into school, but we didn't escape the looks.  Everyone was staring, and when we passed by, everyone got silent.

"Shawn Raul Mendes."  we heard someone yell down the hallway.  We turned around to see Miranda storming down the hallway.

"Ok, you might want to leave." Shawn said to me.
