Chapter 7

PEETA'S POV:

I get up and run outside but by the time I get there, the hovercraft is already above me and in seconds it has disappeared.

I turn around and go back inside. Willow runs up to me,

"Where did Mummy go?" She asks.

"Mummy has gone looking for someone she hasn't seen for a very long time and I'm going to go and find someone else we haven't seen for almost as long," I say "Posy, will you please look after Willow while I'm gone?"

"Of course, I love spending time with Willow!"

"Thank you so much!" I say to her "Now Hazelle, where are the boys? I need to talk to them."

"I'm not sure, they're probably out helping with the buildings." She tells me.

Of course they're out helping to build the new homes for everyone in the district who lost their homes 10 years ago and still have no permanent house. Rory and Vick are regular volunteers there, they want to help others build homes so then they can build their own home and they can move out of Haymitch's place.

I leave Haymitch's house and head to the part of town that used to be called The Seam and it doesn't take me very long to spot Rory helping another man lift a long plank of wood. I go over to him and ask if I can talk to him for a minute, he finishes moving the plank then comes over to me.

"What do you want to talk about Peeta? I need to get back to work." He says.

"Katniss just ran away with Snow's granddaughter in search of Cinna, her stylist from the Games and I think the only person who can convince her to change her mind is your brother," I say. "Do you have any idea where he is? I didn't want to ask your mother because I didn't want to upset her."

"Oh yeah, Gale is in District 2 with his wife, Lara, I think. They live in house 14 of the Victors Village." He tells me.

"Thank you so much," I say then I turn around and head back home.

"Where are you going?" Rory calls out. I turn my head and call back,

"I'm going to District 2!"
