Chapter 10 - short filler chapter

KATNISS'S POV

I look out the window and all I can see below us is water. Lots and lots of water. I can't believe that we've actually left Panem and we are now on our way to England. After all these years of thinking he was dead, I'm finally going to get to see Cinna again! All I have to do is find him.

"According to the radar, there is another aircraft 3km behind us." Lara tells me looking straight ahead.

I look behind us and see a small dot in the distance, even though I can't see who is in the aircraft, I have a pretty good guess. Peeta. Why can't he just let me do this?

"Can you lose them, Lara?" I ask, still watching the aircraft in the distance.

"I'll try." She says, "Hold on tight."

We suddenly speed up and I quickly lose sight of Peeta's aircraft.

PEETA'S POV

I finally see her aircraft in front of us but it is still just a speck in the distance. Suddenly, they speed up and disappear.

"Can we go any faster, Dram?"

"No, sorry, their aircraft is a lot better than ours, it's the best one in any of the districts. I don't know why O'toole let Lara use it, he obviously trusts her a lot." He tells me.

They come back into sight and I don't take my eyes off their aircraft until I feel us suddenly dropping and I fall to my knees.

"WHAT'S HAPPENING?" I yell over the loud whistling noise of us dropping like a stone.

"I DON'T KNOW," Dram yells back. "EVERYTHING WAS FINE AND THEN IT'S LIKE SOMEONE WAS ABLE TO OVERRIDE THE SYSTEM! I JUST LOST ALL CONTROL!"

I manage to stand up and look out the window, I don't like what I see. Katniss's aircraft is a scrap heap on the ground below us.

Sorry that it's so short. I just needed to do a quick filler chapter so I can get to the good stuff.

I'll try and update soon, it probably won't happen. I'm working more on my other story 'Alone' at the moment, but I will update this eventually!!
