You who always kept a camera

For you said,

Photographs are the only thing that lasts

That in photographs

Time is able to freeze

And everything seems fine

Because of the smiles painted in everybody's lips

But you also said

Sometimes photographs may leave memories

Some good

Some bad

But when you take them

It's always the latter

Because you

Unlike everyone else

Does not take photographs of people,

You take photographs of their soul

You do not picture them in color

Because in color,

You see the bright things

The color of their clothes, the glint in their eyes

But when everything turns black and white

You notice their sunken faces

The sadness behind the smiles

Their imperfection behind what seems perfection

In Black and White

You notice the people themselves

You notice what's inside them

And the sad part is

People always seems miserable inside
