Dear old me,
Remember when you used to care?
When you cared about what people said?
When you cared about a future?
When you tried to make it all alright
Cause you cared about your life?
When you cared about what people thought
So you went out of your way
To make them see that you cared, because you really did?
I'm sad to say it's not like that anymore
I don't care about a thing
I give my mother a blank stare
My eyes roll at my father
People can go and talk their shit
Before, I would react
Now I just sit and listen, say "hey, I didn't know that"
My future seems so far away
It'll come through if it wants
Life just seems like such a mess
I guess that it's alright
No longer going out my way for what these people think
I guess it's a good thing I don't care
But it hurts the people I love
