What would it feel like if it all went away
All that made you feel pain
Even just for a day
Maybe it wouldn't rain
And the sun would shine bright
Making you feel all giddy and warm inside
Maybe I'll actually smile
Instead of banging my head against the tile
Instead of feeling so hopeless
I'd take pride in who I am
I wouldn't care what people say
Nothing could ruin my one good day
I'd forget all that was hurting me
I would feel so alive
I wouldn't write depressing poems that made me want to cry
I'd enjoy my happy day all full of joy and light
But the day soon fades to the dark of night
And the nightmares come again
And when you wake up your life is back to hell
With tears in your face again
