"Nate, you up? It's ready." Cole's voice crept from the air vent. A day and a half later, it was ready.

"Yeah. Time for action?"

"Hell yeah. Okay, I'm starting. When you see them coming for breakfast, distract them."

"Got it." I walked over to the door leaning on the window. "Hey! What can a guy do to get some water in here?"

"Shut up. You'll drink when they bring food". The guard said, ignoring him further on.

"Great." I sighed. Hopefully that's soon.

And I was right. As if on cue, they came around the corner, trays ready. They went to his door first. They slid the grate open and I started banging on the window. "Hey! When I get out of here I'll kill all of you! Yeah you with the tray! I'll kill you too! Come here so I can beat your face in!"

He left the tray on the door, forgetting to close the grate and approached me, bashing the door. "Shut up prisoner! Don't make me come in there!"

I looked over, and saw Cole reach through the open grate, and picked the lock on his door. He pulled his arm back in and took the food.

The guard walked back, closing the grate and turned to walk away. "Now!" Cole yelled kicking the door open, knocking down one guard. He smashed the tray into the Warden's face. My door guards ran to help. Cole grabbed one in a headlock, running on the wall and kicking the rushing guard down. He then hit the ground flipping the one he grabbed. In a minute, all four of them were subdued. He grabbed the keys off the warden and unlocked my door letting me out.

"Let's get going. Grab a baton, our powers don't work in here." He said, grabbing one off the guard's belt, and he tossed it to me before taking one himself.

"I know this area. I fought Zerif a few halls down, that must be where they're keeping the Syphon machine." he ran ahead of me, pressing against the wall. He flicked out the baton, and grabbed the patrolman, throwing him down, and he zapped him with the baton. He waved me over, "This way. We're almost there!"

I nodded, and took a deep breath, running after him.

Zerif polished his sword blade, then paused to admire the shine. Soon, the plan will be complete. Utopia will be open. Just three more days. He thought to himself. Before standing up and sheathing his sword at his side, contradictory to the summoning type that Nate and Cole used. Zerif preferred a more practical means.
He exited his quarters, strolling calmly down the hall, dodging the scared glances of the guards. He just rolled his eyes and walked past them. He walked into the Syphon room, and saw a few doctors taking notes on the Seraphim's condition. Stable, and the machine was ready for stage two of energy storage. Zerif pushed the doctor aside, and drew his sword, sliding it into a blade sized slot in the storage compartment. The yellow and blue energy drained from the container and into the sword, powering it. Zerif pulled it out, and returned it to his scabbard on his side. "Prepare for stage two. It will be done by tonight." Zerif said to one of the doctors, and he nodded, sending the message out.

"Attention please, attention please, stage two is in progress, I repeat, stage two is in progress".

Zerif opened a rift, walking out onto the roof. The sky shades of pink and orange from the setting sun. He drew his sword again, aiming it skyward.
"Lord of Elysium. Accept my offering. In the second most dispersal, for the key to the heavens. Accept my offering." The energy beamed powerfully into the clouds, pure light radiating from his sword. "Soon. Just one more burst after this. Soon."

" I don't think so. Put the sword down Zerif, and let's talk it out." Cole said from behind him, his mace in hand. "Don't make me stop you."

"Did you not learn last time Cole? I'm stronger than you. I'm out of your league."

"Even so, I won't let you do this." Cole rushed him, breaking the connection.

"Done and done." I stood triumphant over three of the doorway guards, and nabbed a key off the captain, unlocking the door. I kicked it open, rolling in and sweeping the leg of the first man, I delivered a swift knee to his head as he hit the ground, rendering him unconscious.

I looked up and saw the massive machine. I ran to it, looking over the panel for some sort of off switch. Hang on.. I'll turn it off somehow.. Just hang on. Eventually I just got frustrated. I stepped back, and kicked it as hard as I possibly could. It released a burst of electricity, launching me back into the wall with bone crushing force.

Dazed, and hurting, I got up slowly, refusing to give up. "God damned bastards!" I swung my fist with all my strength, but was met with equal force, and I flew back again.

"It's futile, Nathaniel." Dr. Woods strolled into the room, casually stepping over the knocked out goons.

I clenched my fists, my face making a scowl. I forced myself to stand, and ran at him screaming in rage. I swung, but he simply sidestepped my blow, and delivered a swift judo-chop to the back of my neck, flooring me.

"Stupid. Insolent, rat." he kicked me hard in the ribs, knowing I couldn't fight back. "You can't do anything. Stage 3 of the syphon has begun. Soon it'll be too late".

I looked over to a security camera in the adjoined room, and saw another cell door slowly opening. A man with long white hair exited. He looked up at the camera, and nodded once, before leaving the prison. Who the hell? I didn't have time to ponder on it, because the mad doctor began to talk more.

"Soon, utopia will be open. I will save humanity. And your kind, will be extinct."

"My kind? Let me remind you, you worked with demons to get here."

"Not the point. Demons simply make good minions. That's all. Expendable, yet deadly. Now, if you'd kindly," He pulled a handgun from his coat, and pulled the hammer back aiming it to my head. "Die."

"Psych!" The long haired prisoner kicked him across the room and offered me his hand. I took it, and he hauled me up with ease.

"We can't leave!"

"Your brother needs our help." Was all he said. I shook loose.

"I'm not leaving without her."

"We have to go. Now. She cannot be helped."

"Bullshit! If we can get her out we can stop the whole plan!"

"It's too late. Stage two has already begun. Soon Utopia will open. We need to help Cole while he's still alive." He grabbed me by the arms, despite my struggling efforts, and dragged me from the room, where Emily lay.. Helpless.
