Soon, the harsh snow turned to black grass.
The black grass in itself was fascinating, but there were fluorescent blue specks in the black dirt and grass.
One of the main things that caught his attention, though, was the ceiling speckled with bright rocks, that he mistaken for stars at first, and the glowing blue water.

Chara seemed to be admiring the place, but lead Frisk somewhere in a hurry.
Frisk had jogged past sans and a kid around his age as he ran, and Chara showed him the way to do the puzzles on the way.
"Take the lily pads and push them down the river, make sure to get four in a row." Chara instructed.

And, so he did. Flower's bloomed in their place, and Chara walked over them to prove it was safe to walk across.
Frisk followed.

Chara gave a new set of instructions.
"Frisk, get the lily pads over there-" she gestured to a pile of lily pads next to a bell.
"- and push them down here." She said, pointing down a river that seemed to go to nowhere.

Frisk had expected her to direct him to the next room, which was easily accessible,
"What about over there?" He asked.
"Not yet. Down here." Chara pointed again.

Frisk sighed and complied, before the flowers bloomed, and Chara walked across the flowers, and stepped left.
It looked like she had gone through the wall, but it had been a room just out of sight.

Frisk followed and looked at the room.
A bench, and a flower that was as tall as Chara's torso, and about up to Frisk's stomach.

Frisk looked at it,
"Why are we here?" He asked,
Chara gestured for him to sit down,
He sat against the wall, and Chara sat in front of him.

"Shirt." Chara said shortly, holding out a hand.

Frisk raised an eyebrow,
"What?"

"Take off your shirt." She repeated, more detail added to her sentence.

"Why?" He asked,

"Frisk, you're hurt and we are out of decent supplies. Give me your damn shirt," She said harshly.

Frisk frowned, but took off his shirt and handed it to Chara.

Chara looked at the wound,

It looked like what you would expect a gunshot wound to be, but completely closed.
The skin around it was bruised, and he was somehow actively bleeding,
Which meant it was open, despite it seeming closed.

Chara got up, going to the river and washing her hands, before cupping her two hands together and going over to Frisk, washing the blood off with soft fingertips.

It took a few runs for water, and a lot of hand washing for the blood to finally be mostly gone.

Chara walked back over to Frisk,
"Bandages." She said.

Frisk, equally confused as before,
"Why??" He asked, not entirely comfortable with what seemed to be getting stripped naked.

"Because my bandages are not real, Frisk. I'd use my own if I could, but I can't.
Your other wounds are closed and won't get infected. This will.
Give me your bandages." She said, harsh.
Chara seemed to have her moments of seriousness, despite her usually lighthearted ways.

And she was completely right.

Frisk sighed, unwrapping the bandages on his arms, handing the fairly clean paper bandages to Chara.

Chara looked at his arms,
Cuts and bruises up to his elbow. Some went a bit higher
Those ones left bruises.

Chara sighed, but wrapped the bandages around frisk's stomach.
"Done, but don't move." She ordered.

Frisk didn't move, as Chara moved closer and straddled his legs, so she was sitting on his knees and calves.

"Hands." She ordered.

"Im not going to let you boss me around, Chara." He said.

Chara huffed,
"Well, Frisk-y, may I please see your hands?" She asked politely. Hesitantly, he complied and gave her his hands.

Chara looked at them for a moment, gazing over the many scars that went up from his wrists to his inner elbows, before glancing to him,
"Why?" She asked.

" 'why'?" He questioned back.

"You're so nice. You're the nicest human I know, and you're kind, friendly, supportive, loving, and pretty attractive.
Why this?" She asked

Frisk sighed,
"Kindness doesn't get me very far on the surface, and I'm not that smart either." He said,
"I don't know. It was a selfish thing to do. I really regret it, but.. I don't know.. I just couldn't stop. I felt like I deserved it, but.. it also felt like I was just weak.. it felt like no one could love me the way I loved anyone else a-" He was interrupted by Chara's strange actions.

Chara gave the base of his wrists a light kiss,
All better.
Another one,
Another one,
She was kissing his scars.

It tickled, her soft lips against his scarred skin.

"What are you doing?" He asked,

"I love you." She countered his previous statement,
"And,,, kissing it better." She added, laughing a bit.

Frisk laughed, a light pink tint against his dark skin.

Chara continued, until every scar was very well treated with her 'medicine'.

Determination shone in her red eyes.
"C'mhere." She said,

Frisk rose an eyebrow and sat up,

And Chara kissed him on the lips.
It only lasted a moment, but Frisk's face was dark red,
Chara pulled back and smiled,
"All better!" She said cheerfully.

Frisk sighed, putting an arm around Chara and forcing her into a hug,
"G'night." He said, closing his eyes.

"Aw what?!" She gasped, but he was already somewhat drifted off.
Chara sighed, and got comfortable since she couldn't really escape, leaning against his chest with his arm around her,
Before falling asleep.
