A.N.- before I start the chapter, I just want to make a request; will all of you who are reading OBU help me decide which book I want to write after this? I'm stuck between Certain Living Conditions, or The Rebel's Heart. When I finish OBU, I will post an extra with the descriptions of both stories. I think they both have great plots but I don't know which one will be better. Okay, you can read now. (:

When most people think of a school holiday, they think about sleeping in and sitting around the house...not me. I was still waking up at 7 A.M. sharp, getting ready for my Getaway Friday. I was meeting the gang over at the Valero at 8, which meant I had an hour to get ready.

I took a quick 15 minute shower and threw on my clothes. I checked the weather on my phone and saw it would be a little chilly most of the day, so I put on my light blue skinny jeans, a plain black t-shirt, and an army green jacket. I grabbed my Fast and Furious necklace from the bathroom counter before putting my hair in a damp but neat ponytail. I was out the door within 30 minutes, proud of my timing.

Since I had about 25 more minutes, I decided to run by the donut shop and grab a dozen glazed donuts for the group. I figured with the drive we were about to travel, we shouldn't go with an empty stomach. When I received breakfast and paid, I got in my truck and headed for the Valero about 40 feet away.

I waited about 10 minutes before everyone pulled into the gas station.

"Who's riding with who?" I asked.

"Um...Bryson and Addi will ride with me. Zack is on his way over with Kass, Jeff and Brad; I guess they can just stay with him. Josh and Jackson are apparently sharing a ride; considering no one else wants to deal with them. So that means uhh...Caden can ride with Blynn?" Alex suggested when almost everyone arrived. Caden nodded in acceptance as we all loaded up, waiting an extra 5 minutes for Zack's truck to pull in. He filled up for gas and then we were on our way.

"And now here is Everything I Shouldn't Be Thinking About by Thompson Square."

The radio host introduced one of my favorite songs. I began humming the tune, while Caden sang the guys part obnoxiusly. Ehh, what the heck.

"Baby you always had a one track mind, so what you're saying ain't noooo surprise. What might come as a shock to you, is that I'm having all those little thoughts too yeah.

"The way you're looking back at me right now, I'm thinking about everything I shouldn't be thinking about."

I sang the girls part, knowing almost every word. I could see Caden smiling as he sang from the corner of my eye. I began to grow weary, nervous, and wonderous. What exactly was he thinking about right now?

"Baby since you and me are on the same page. Let's do something 'bout it. What do ya sayyy?"

We were now singing the song together in perfect harmony. When it finally ended, Caden turned the dial lower than it was before and looked over at me.

"Blynn?" he asks.

"What?"

"Um...are you okay?" I glance over for a second to see his eyes boring into mine...

...and I crumble.

"No. Not really."

"Is it because of me?"

"I guess you could say that. But it's not just you. I've been so busy that I haven't had time to think about how I feel on certain things."

"Like me and Leah?"
