A.N.- Song on the side for those who are reading on the computer --->

I was sitting on the porch swing, reading Allegiant, when Zack pulled up. The weather was fairly peaceful today, so I figured I would come outside to read. Zack had called me about 20 minutes ago asking if he could come over to watch movies or something, so I told him yes.
He got out of his truck and walked over to the swing, sitting down at the end of my feet. I shut my book immediately and put my feet down so I could scoot over towards him. He smiled pitifully at the state I was in; Nike wind shorts, plain black t-shirt, and messy bun. Kissing my forehead lightly as if to say “I’m sorry,” Zack reached for my hand, and I curled up into his side. Our breathing matched, and his heart beat was steady. I didn’t cry, no, we just sat there and listened to the birds chirp their Sunday morning song.

“You did what?!” I screamed. I thought Forest was coming over so we could go out for lunch, but instead we were standing in my living room, yelling at each other.
“Riley, look babe I’m sorry. It’s just-” Forest tried reasoning with me, but I wasn’t listening anymore; I was beyond done with him.
“I don’t want to hear it, Forest! You cheated on me with Scarlet the Harlet! SCARLET FALLS!” I was shaking, angry from his confession. I thought we were happy and loyal to each other.
“I know. And I wish I didn’t. But she told me-”
“Get out, Forest. Get out.” I said through gritted teeth. With that, he was turning around towards the door, but paused before leaving. “Goodbye Riley,” he whispers before walking out of my door; walking out of my life.
I grab the nearest thing to me, that being a glass vase, and threw it at the wall opposite of me. My legs buckled from under, and I sunk down to the floor; drowning in the pool of my own tears.

Blynn and I were almost done with our 3rd movie when my phone vibrated in my pocket. I looked down and almost jumped out of my seat when I saw the contact. Riley Moore was texting me.
Riley: Hey babe. :*
Me: I think you have the wrong number.
Riley: This Benson?
Me: Yes.
Riley: Then no, I don’t have the wrong number.
Me: Are you sure?
Riley: Yes! Forest and I just broke up, things aren’t working out. Wanna come over?
Me: Umm. I’m at Blynn’s house right now. Sorry.
Riley: Please Zack? I’ve been thinking, and maybe we should work things out.
Me: Idk. We’ll talk later. I think me and Blynn are going to find something to eat.
Riley: K…
I slid my phone back into my pocket as the credits rolled. “What now?” Blynn asked me.
“Uhhh….I don’t know.” Looking down at the floor, I was debating if I wanted her to know about Riley and Forest, or just waiting until later.
