*Operation:Break Up; 6 years later*
We were standing in a hospital room in Good Sheppard of Longtown. Riley lay tiredly on the bed, her eyes droopy with stress and frustration. The nurses said she was dilated at 8 and a half- meaning she would be giving birth to her and Zack's baby boy sometime soon. It was already late at night, the clock pushing towards 11 P.M. I yawned tiredly as Caden wrapped his arms around me.
It all seemed cliche and surreal; the scene we were held in. Almost all of our high school friends and lovers just waiting for the good news, that Zack would aid his wife as they tended to their newborn son, Luke, sometime soon. Bryson and Addie chat endlessly on the couch towards the personal bathroom, still giving each other the same lovey-dovey looks they did when they first got together Junior year. Jeffrey stood beside his new girlfriend, Faith, clutching her hand and smiling. They had been going on for about 8 months. Kassie's been hanging around Forest here lately. In fact, I think they left 30 minutes ago to pick up burgers from Sonic. Where the hell were they at?
Laughing it off nervously, I look down to see Caden drawing small circles on my belly. He was proudly wearing our wedding ring, mine almost matching his. We've been married for almost a year now, but still no kids yet. I've been patiently waiting for the day to find out I'll be delivering our baby, but for the past 11 months...nothing.
We were patiently waiting day by day.
My stomach started to turn as I grinned from my thoughts; as if my stomach didn't agree with my heart and mind. Suddenly breaking away from his hold, I made a quick excuse, saying I needed to go get a drink, while grabbing Addison's hand in the process. We rushed to the nearest public bathroom and on the way, saw about 5 incubators with newborn babies. Taking a wide turn to the left, I made it to the stall right before my early dinner came up.
When I was done puking, Addison let go of my hair. She had a specific look in her eyes as she blushed at me. This could only mean one thing. There was no way she would be smiling that much as her best friend leans over a toilet bowl.
"Does he know?" She asks. I simply shake my head at her while wiping my mouth with a damp napkin. Addie pulls a piece of gum from her back pocket and offers it to me. I take it willingly before we head to the vending machine and back to the delivery room. Hopefully we make it in time.
"How long does it take to get a drink?" I hear my husband's voice call as I get my soda from the machine. I turn and smile at him no matter the state I'm in. Sick or in perfect health, I knew Caden could always bring a grin onto my face.
"Is she-?" I am cut off my Caden's slow nodding.
"They threw us all out until they get everything cleaned up."
"Good. Because there's something I need to share with you."
"There is?" Caden asks, looking at me. He must've been thrown off. After being together for so long, I had to find ways to keep Caden guessing. Though, it has been a while since I've had news this shocking.
"Hey everyone!" Caden and I turn to see Alex hand-in-hand with some Latino girl. She was very pretty, however. She had long black hair down to her mid-back, and ebony eyes. Her smile was straight foreign, though we all knew Alex was seeing someone from his church. SO this must be the girl.
"This is Subrina, the girl I was telling y'all about."
"Wait. Alex? Aren't you supposed to be in Brazil right now for your mission trip?" Addison asks. Before he could reply, she motions him and Subrina to the waiting room chairs. "You know what? Come tell me over here. I think Blynn and Caden need their privacy at the moment." They walk off towards the rest of the group. Caden turns to me with the same confused look.
"Caden, I've been feeling a little weird here lately...and so I need to tell you I'm going to need a doctor soon."
"Oh no, baby what's wrong?" With concern in his eyes, Caden grips my elbows gently. I smile at his empathy for me- but who knows what his reaction will be when the next sentence escapes from my mouth.
"Nothing's wrong, Caden. I just needed to say..."
"Sayyy...?"
"That I'm pregnant!" I exclaim. When he sees I'm serious, Caden can't contain himself. He drops everything; my purse that he was holding, and the water bottle he idly drank from.
"Are you serious?!" He says, lifting my up to the ceiling with his bare hands.
Besides our wedding, and the experience I've had since going through Operation: Break Up, this right here? This was the happiest moment in my life.
This.

A.N.- FINALLY posted an epilogue, and I seriously wouldn't have it any other way. (: I know I left out some characters, and I'm sorry, but I could only mention so much without getting off the subject.
Anywho, I posted The Rebel's Heart on Wattpad. I've been working real hard on it, though I only got to Part 3. I've been trying really hard to get to the point without it being so short of a book. I'm seriously trying here people! And I hope this one won't let you down.
Please go look up The Rebel's Heart. I hope to hear from you all soon because I can only do so much right now! I have tryouts coming up and plus I'm still doing softball. So please forgive me. I love you all!
