I groaned as my alarm clock went off, ripping me away from my dream. It was 7 A.M. on Monday. Grrrreeattttt. I have school.

Dressing quickly, I put on my anchor patterned tank top, black and white see through top, and white skinny jeans. I put on my sparkly red flats and grabbed my bags.

At school, I was very sleep deprived and not aware of anything going on around me. I figured since Operation: Break Up was over with, I had no reason to hang around the jocks anymore. I would go on my merry little way and not say a word; like how I used to be. But when I walked through the doors and down the hallway to my first period class, I was stopped by someone unexpectedly.

“Hey Blynn? Can I talk to you for a second?” Zack asks me.

“Yeah I guess.” We go off to a corner- the same corner where he first asked me to be his fake girlfriend. “What’s up?”

“I just wanted to say, I hope you didn’t think this was it for us. After I walked out of your house yesterday, I figured maybe we could still be friends. I know we didn’t break up for real, but I still feel like I lost you in some way.”

I sigh tiredly, knowing this was the exact reason I couldn’t sleep last night. “Sure. I honestly think I would’ve missed being around everyone.”

“Well, I’m glad we can move forward.” He says, wrapping his arms around me before racing off to his first period class.

I walked through the doors of budgeting, and was greeted instantly by Elena and Addison. “Hurry up and get your butt over here so Addi can tell us!” Elena rushes me over. I take a seat in my chair as Addi takes a deep breathe and shares her news.

“Okay. So you know how Bryson came over last night? Well, we talked it over, and…”

“And?!” I anticipated.

“And… he asked me to be his girlfriend!” She exclaimed, doing a mini happy dance in her chair.

“Are you serious? That’s great Addison! Oh my gosh!” I said, happy for my best friend. But then I realized, I’m the only one that doesn’t have a boyfriend. Elena has Cole, and now Addi has Bryson. So now what?

“Yeah. Oh and um, I was wondering if you wanted to come to lunch with me and Bryson today?”

“And be the 3rd wheel? No way!” I said, throwing my hands up.

“But you won’t be; Alex will be there with us.” She states. I guess I have no choice.

Just as I’m about to answer, Riley walks through the doors.

“I feel so bad for you, Blynn.” She says, standing behind me, I stand and turn to her.

“What’d you mean?” I ask confusedly.

“Well, after you and Zack broke up and he left your house, he came over to mine.”

That’s when I lost it…

“Oh really? After you found out Forest cheated on you with Scarlet?” I ask rhetorically, as the whole class gives background noises such as “ooooohhhh.” I had to keep my hands to myself, however; I didn’t want this to be like an episode of Jerry Springer.

“You bitch.” She says under her breath.

Thinking of a funny remark, I retort to her. “I’m sorry Riley, but the back door swings both ways.”
