RIDDLE IV: ONE DOWN

"Riddles? Not really, I'm more into quotes actually. Any kind of quotes, it can be sad ones, love etc." She answered as we reached the crossing. "Why Kessler?" She then looked at me while smiling.

"Just asking." We both didn't say a word afterwards. This silence between us is deafening me.

"But my brother loves riddles." I was startled a little when she suddenly talked.

"I bet he's an expert when it comes to riddles." She didn't answer me back but she gave me a smile, a weak one.

"He sure is." Again I was startled when she suddenly talked while we're crossing on the street."But he's already---

"Ugh-- what the?" What the hell happened? "Shit." My head hurts, ugh. Wait-- what the? My vision's still blurry but I can see it. "No-- no, this is not true. Sean! Look at me Sean!" I'm trying my best to stand up so I can help my friend but I fucking can't! "Hold on Sean! Ugh-- Ahh!" My body hurts, ahhh.

"Ke-- ssler..." He's now coughing blood, shit! What the fuck just happened! I can't believe that this happened to him. He's completely crashed on the wall by a truck, I can only see his head and his left hand. Fuck!

"Sean, don't talk man. Just keep your eyes open, you hear me? Keep your eyes open!" I can't help but cry, fuck! I'm totally useless. I know that he won't make it because I can see that his body is totally crushed but there are miracles, he'll make it.

"I'm here." I looked behind me and I saw her, she got bruises too. Shoot, I'm getting dizzy.

"He's fine but he needs to stay here for a day or two so that he can rest for a bit. Also, we need to monitor him further since he's not yet awake."

"I'll go now." Wait-- doc? Doctor? Where am I? I slowly opened my eyes and all I can see is white.

"Hmm?" I saw a girl at the door. "Ricciane?" She looked at me when I called her name.

"Brother." She run towards me and hugged me tightly and that made me twitched.

"Aw, aw Ricciane." I said, my body still hurts obviously.

"Sorry." She said as she loosen her embrace. "I'm just happy that you're okay, sniff. I just thought that you'll leave me too, sniff." She's crying.

"Sshhh." I hushed her as I wiped her tears. "That will never happen, okay?" Then I hugged her. I'm so lucky that I'm alive. Sean, I never thought that I'll lose a friend in a very tragic way. "By the way, where is Hernhea? The girl who's with me."

"She went home already after the doctor treated her wounds. She said that she'll visit you here tomorrow." Hernhea-- wait!

"Where's my bag Ricciane!?" I asked when I remembered something.

"Chill bro, no need to panic." She stood up and grabbed my bag that's on the couch. "Here." She gave it to me and I started looking for the card. "Hey bro, I'll just go outside to buy something to eat. Okay?" I just nodded as an answer. Afterwards, I heard the door closed.

"Where the hell is it?" Shoot! "Here!" I was stunned when I saw that something's written on the card beside the riddle or quote, whatever it is. It is written using blood, I'm sure that this is blood. "Fuck!" It says ...
